Name a socialist society that was (or is) successful. And no, the Scandinavian countries are not socialist. They are giant welfare states supported by the excess wealth generated by capitalism. Socialism (or any other economic system) does not generate excess wealth. No other system has ever lifted any significant number of people out of poverty.

The whole developed world limits elective abortion to no more than 22 weeks. Should we get with the program?

We have the most liberal immigration laws in the world. Should we get with the program? Get rid of birthright citizenship?

We're better off than the rest of the world. And please don't list off a bunch of leftist stuff we don't have as evidence that we aren't.

Our poverty line for a family of four is more than the average income of all but 30 countries. According to world poverty measures, we have zero poverty (consume less than $1.90 a day of stuff - food, clothes, shelter, etc).

This would be awesome if poverty were proportional to the country,
food, clothing, shelter, etc. in the US is often more expensive than it is in shitty broke countries

but the US is better off than Canada in that regard -- climate in places like California means people can be homeless and not worry about death by exposure to the elements
it is a lot more difficult to make it on the streets through a Canadian winter

Do you guys really think Sanders is going to win though? Everyone I know thinks he's after their money. I live in the mid west though. Maybe it's the far western states that like him? Even if he did win how much can he really change? I've never seen a president do even a 3rd of what they said they was going to do.
