let me get this straight... Your don't believe that any plans have been canceled directly because of the ACA

Did I say that? Because as far as I know, I didn't say that.
I'm simply looking for some evidence that significantly more policies were cancelled this year compared to previous year. Can you find that info for me?
Not only that, but how many quality plans had been cancelled due to the PPACA? Can you find any numbers on that, too? Please?

"quality" is subjective. So depending on who you ask all plans that have been canceled have been quality.
Im sure there are internal numbers about how many people lose coverage every year. But do this many people freak out every year? No, the fact is that millions of plans have been canceled directly because they do not meet ACA requirements. I'm not sure what about that is so hard to understand.

I'm not sure why it is so difficult to produce some evidence from something so "obvious."

i've already given evidence. Its fact that more than one million people in california are losing coverage because the ACA forced insurance companies to drop the plans

Where is the evidence that the number of dropped plans is significantly higher than previous years?

This is a stunning example of typical right wing ignorance. ACA makes it impossible for insurance companies to cancel policies anymore. There are no more lifetime caps, no more cancelling coverage because you missed a payment then got a preexisting condition, etc..
This year, and this year only, some will lose their junk insurance because those policies no longer comply with federal law. Instead they can get a better policy through an exchange or their insurance company has to upgrade their plan for free.
If you actually took a few minutes to understand the law before completely embarrassing yourself you might understand those simple facts.

First of all i'm not right wing. Second "junk" and "better" are subjective. I know plenty of people who have plans they were very happy with that they are losing. More people have lost insurance than have got insurance through the ACA

It is hardly dominated by conservatives. Why would you expect it be crawling with intellectually bereft lefty moonbats? As a wise sage once said, "there is no evidence that mushrooms make you stupid."

My junk plan? The one that got cancelled that I paid 2,400 a month for? The one that allowed me to use out of network doctors who got reimbursed the same as in network doctors? Not for nothing, pal, but I'm not interested in MedicAid quacks if I need a doctor. The only annual deductible I had was for major medical and that was low. I bought that plan with eyes wide open and it suited what my wife and I wanted. Poof. Gone.Quote:

If the people who voted for the bill and signed the bill had read the bill they should be arrested for stupidity. For you to lie and besmirch the people bitching about this as ignorant, especially in light of the fact that they are not, like you, on Mommy's plan, is laughable. I know full well what the ramifications are. I've been fucked already. Do you know what the ramifications are? Do you not realize what demographic is going to get utterly fucked by this? Healthy males between the ages of 20 and 50 who aren't welfare cases. Completely and utterly bent over and fucked in the ass with extra sand in their Astroglide.

Just as a matter of fact, left wingers are smarter than right wingers, both in terms of fluid and crystallized intelligence (the latter twice the former ). Although, there is no intellectual difference between libertarians and liberals. However, the political beliefs of center left liberals display the highest level of integrated complexity. It isn't all good for liberals though. Conservatives really do work harder than liberals and liberal truly are comparatively lazy, despite being clearly smarter than conservatives. The twist? Libertarians are even lazier than liberals. Who saw that coming? Maybe that explains the strangely high incidence of internet libertarianism.
Results taken from Haidt's study on libertarian psychology (available on PLoSOne), the Cambridge Handbook of Personality Psychology, and Altemeyer's studies on authoritarianism. I expect you all will accept the results that are flattering an discard the ones that aren't.

I think liberals in all 57 states are well aware of those facts.

You paid 2400 a month with eyes wide open... Sorry to burst your bubble, but you got WAXED!!!
Let me guess, your insurance salesman told you that Obamacare was going to put you on a death panel and the doctor was most likely going to be a liberal! Man I remember my days as an insurance salesmen, going after guppies like you was my favorite.
What is your income, age, zip code. I can find you a better policy for half of that. The exchanges cap premiums based on your income. Have you even signed up to explore your options? Why not?
Anyway, I see you ignored the portion of my post that proves people will no longer be losing their coverage after this year. Why does that irk people like you? Do you realize that healthcare in this country is twice as expensive as the next MOST expensive country. Twice. Do we get better results, are we living twice as long..? Stop being a hater.

56, 62 and 23. 10538. Around $500K combined. Quote:

My coverage is gone. And I would have had an almost 50% of being dead from the cancers I had in GB while in the US I had a plus 90% survival rate from both. Not each, both.

Too many people in this thread complaining about losing sub par insurance.
The obvious solution is to go to universal healthcare. The ACA is a conservative idea. Anyone thinking otherwise lives in a bubble. Is it perfect? Of course not? Is it better than the previous status quo? Yes
If the only time you can go to a doctor is for an ER visit you're not going to be healthy, and you're going to be a bigger burden on the state in the long run. I know it's hard for people to grasp, but unless we start turning away sick people without money or insurance, we are all buying healthcare together. The free market approach makes no sense in a society where if some one is shot they get treatment, period.
