I wonder if the people of Hong Kong and China when they see these protesters do they treat them the way Americans treat their protestors?

No, going from the good old fashioned fire hoses to shooting a teen in the chest. If I lived in Hong Kong would you want to give in to how China is ruled? Comes off sounding self righteous but really, it is quite fucked up and I get why they are fighting against it.

Nobody of any party has reduced the size of government or the tentacles of government nor have they scaled back the infringement of the people’s constitutional rights in America.

If scaling back some regulations that only helps a selected few is enough for you it’s not enough for me.

If I’m wrong please correct me because I surely don’t know everything and I’ve not been paying attention to everything.

A good old fashioned fire hose isn’t really all that’s happened to America’s protestors sir. We’ve been shot and killed, 7,000 protestors arrested in a single day, right here in America

So please represent the facts as they are and not as you see them

I support a free people wherever they are and their right to protest. I’m pointing out the parallel of people’s attitudes towards protestors when they’re here as opposed to someplace else.

I don't have high hopes for Hong Kong. I support them, but I don't think they will be successful.

Actually, I expect US troops to join the Chinese against the protesters sometime in the near future.

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them. I also attack my side if I think they're wrong. People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

I agree (with the first sentence). I don't see a regime like China being very susceptible to the pressures of protest.

When ever I see an Asain girl I think of my oh so distant ex gf. She was half italian but kinda like an asain girl. In a good way. Her bad side was more like inner city minority with a rough patch.
