So how damaging to the shroom system is picking? How often is it best to get back to the same field? Also is it possible to dry libs on a radiator using a low setting and a piece of carton between them and not lose any potency?

Picking is not damaging unless you pick the mushrooms before the cap opens and disperses its spores.
On the contrary, by foraging in the fields and picking the mushrooms you are helping the species spread
as you become a carrier of lots of spores which then will spread further as you move around.

Temp +4C is good to go! I even remember rumours that first light frost will help them pop up more. Constant frost will kill em.
So boots on and out to the fields. I know I will!

My first finds ever happened after a night of snow which melted later in the day. Since then i checked the field several days after and kept finding liberty caps.
P.S that was last year in lithuania

Been out hunting as much as possible this year but only found one lone shrivelled specimen on my last camping trip with the missus :frown:

Unfortunately I work in the city and don’t have a car so my hunting opportunities have been quite limited...

Wanted to ask you guys (I don’t think this breaks the thread rules but if it does I will happily remove it) Is it legal to purchase/possess spores? I live in Estonia btw... haven’t been able to find any info online that specifically addresses this question. Obviously they don’t actually contain psilocybin/psilocin but Estonia has some pretty restrictive drug laws it seems and I would hate to end up behind bars 😬

Any info you guys have would be great and been loving seeing your finds—if any of you are in Tallinn anytime soon, there is a really cool exhibit on mushrooms at the natural history museum—definitely worth checking out!

It's not the spores that are illegal, it's what you're planning to do with them.

Yes I know, technically that’s the case...But practically what is actually enforced is my real question...

Sadly enough, all spores from psilocybin mushrooms have been outlawed here in Norway. :frown:

Season still going strong here

But don`t you just hate the moment when you discover that you are doing after-picking to someone elses pickings, on your "own" field, which is not that "secret" anymore :frown:

But as they say, sharing is caring...

Nice shot there, SideNote.

Been so busy I have only made the sporadic walk, saw a few on a lawn this morning so they're still out here, although
we've had some rather wintery nights lately.

Took these shit pictures last week, pickings were so-and-so:

Looks like it could be a promising spot, thanks for the tip! Tbh there are quite a few nice fields within biking distance of the city, for me it is just a matter of finding the time—my daughter broke her leg last week so I’ve been ties up at home a lot more than usual which is too bad because the weather has been perfect for fruiting :frown: Hopefully I’ll have time to get out at least once more before the season is over...

Is muuga still active? Every kid from tallinn visits that field. Also the farmer salted that field after everyone found out about it.

Finally found ~500 liberty caps in 5 different fields, different parts of Lithuania after unsuccessful previous hunts (Got tired of finding Protostropharia semiglobata, Panaeolus papilionaceus, Marasmius oreades). I'm very happy that I finally got the hang of shroom hunting. I will try to upload pics later.

Just want to remind you people that asking for or revealing exact locations is against forum rules, for quite obvious reasons.
