OFFICIAL Nordic/Baltic Liberty Cap Season 2019 * 5
    #26128761 -

I found the first liberty cap on July 23, but I couldn't report it here at the time... Since I don't see another thread I'm just going to start the "official" thread here and all of you nordic/baltic shroomers who want can join in and report what you find, discuss the season etc.

Please, no ID requests and only report/discuss liberty caps (and other actives) from the nordic and baltic countries, that's the simple rules of this thread  :super:

A couple of my fellow countrymen have also reported a few more finds this week. The temperature is going down and lots of rain coming! Good luck everyone! :mushroom2:

Happy to see this thread started! I'm new here but have been looking at the previous Nordic/Baltic threads and also read your book knarkkorven about where to hunt for mushroom photography - it was very helpful, so thank you. I am in the Gothenburg area and am excited for my first hunts.

I found some on Aug 4 outside of Linköping, and some today outside of Växjö.

As I said, I'm new here (first post), so I'm guessing it's best to wait to post pictures until I've had the ID confirmed

Photos to come as soon as I get them ID'd!

Nice one knarkkorven!

There's been a few reported findings on Finnish forums since 19th of July. I've been out a few times and actually just came back home from the bushes. No any kind of mushroom activity whatsoever. Way too warm and dry in my whereabouts, althought found a single dried out Psilocybe medullosa on my yard a couple of days ago.

Pandasalad: Thanks! But it's not my book and I'm not involved more than I gave permission to use a lot of my photos (in high res) and helped spread the word and connected the creator with a translator to get a Swedish version. He wrote the Finnish and English versions himself.

I have my own site about psilocybin mushrooms called "Svampinfo" with liberty cap identification guides etc. (only in Swedish)

So... Today I was out riding my MTB in some forests and was passing through this clearing on a narrow path. It has some remains of an old house and is dominated by the preferred grass for liberty caps. I immediately thought that I must look down and 3 seconds later I spotted three libs in the grass on my left! It was the only ones I could find even though I walked around for a couple of minutes.

So I ate them and an hour later when I was back home, had a shower and finally was able to relax I felt some nice euphoric effects. Thank you dear mushroom god! :mushroom2:

Awesome! :sunny: Nice looking habitat. It has been pouring now pretty much three days straight in here, having high hopes for my weekend excursion into the wild!

 Looks like at least 100-150 libs there!

The forest paths are very good in the late summer. Try it out everyone, just look for horse dung indicating that "spore spreaders" pass through once in a while and then look in all the Deschampsia cespitosa.

Nice to see this thread up again!

I found a few in July just inbetween two heat spells, but I imagine it is time to get out there again quite soon.
Edible season is on as well, I will concentrate on them for a while longer though.

Found four in my last year's late season field. Didn't pick them, probably gonna return when it's season since it's still above 20c during day and gonna be above 25c next week.

Finally! Went out for a new habitat hunt, it was a success.

The weather conditions are not there yet, but think I'm gonna visit that place again in a couple of weeks.

Nice ones guys!

The forest paths are very good right now. I found 46 today. Last week was cold and rainy, perfect fruiting conditions. But today was 24C and and high humidity, I was sweating like crazy!
