Its a timing thing really.  Plenty of cultures are/were as violent and oppressive as colonial period europe but the tech wasn't/isn't  favorable to that.  Ww2 era Japan or literally any point in the history of china come to mind.

It's becoming more indocternation to be tribal in very shallow ways.  Especially in America.  America is a young country.

Not even so much racially, but culturally.  Racial tribalism at it's root is selective breeding.  Culturally it's incredibally complex.

it's a base instinct driven by ignorance. it's inherent in some people moreso than others, influences can come from all over in order to encourage it. however, it's always rooted in ignorance.

for example, it was a rather large spat of it that got trump elected.

If a survival instinct was driven by ignorance, it wouldn't be an instinct still around today in humans.

You don't like the outcome in this survival instinct, but it's been highly successful. That's why it's in our DNA today.

it proliferates itself despite being a perturbation of what should naturally correspond to the reward mechanism of our psychology, in other words, people are being rewarded for essentially doing things that could be considered objectively "bad".

for instance, killing people is something that even god is considered to be against. yet that doesn't stop governments from commanding them to kill in order to achieve financial gain.

and from this point it would stretch to wingnut/unprovable theories about god/religion/karma, etc.

which is why we end up back at square one again lol.

It only exists when resources are limited and survival is needed.  Go to a very affluent community that has diversity, there's never any serious levels of racial tribalism taking place because everyone is content. 

The reason why religion still exists is because of tribalism as well. It's been a very successful survival mechanism for obvious reasons.  Where do non-believers get to unite and fight to the death for their invisible god?

lol it seems kinda antithetical to consider something successful when it's wrought from a worldview of desperation. to keep people in such a mental space is to keep them malleable and manipulable. i can see its rightful use through history in order to keep people under civilized control but to keep perpetuating it would only benefit people to use as part of a scam imo..


it would seem people are being blocked from the idea of seeing a real god, and even worse yet it's to avoid accountability for their involvement in the matter.
