Why even bother asking on here if you're just going to ignore what trusted identifiers say, claim they're what they're not and eat them anyway? :\

It looks like you have two types of mushrooms there and none of them are actives. I wish you well... hope they don't hurt you...

Mushrooms can kill in very unpleasant ways.

Please stop posting the wrong mushrooms in this thread. This thread is for REAL actives, so people can SAFELY identify and use natures amazing gift.

Hello!

A total and complete newb here, as my username entails, im a sufferer of cluster headaches, with cluster season rapidly approaching,  hoping to try microdosing through the cycle.

Have had a good read through the boards last night, and hoping to go hunting soon.  Although any hints and tips would be more than welcome!

Take my advice with a grain of salt because I havent found a single sub/liberty cap yet however you can find subs on the side of a walking trail in a park or forest which has plenty of wood chips. They love deciduous wood. You can also try in piles of mulch in parks and garden beds, near a creek, or river, where wood chips are littered or have fallen trees nearby, any inclined clearings leading into a creak and in tall grasses where twigs are all around.

This is what I know about hunting subs  Best of luck to you. I sure need it lol

First time hunting and consuming shrooms. Any advice would be great. Found these, not sure if they are what we are after? Cheers http://

Please post your own ID request, don't say that mushrooms which haven't been properly ID'd are in fact active because other users might see your post, find something similar, consume and be fucked.

The caps on your shrooms are wrong for the genus Psilocybe, but the bottom three almost look like a blue staining Inocybe.  Inocybe is a genus you don't want to consume either because some are toxic, but a few are not.  Your pics don't show enough details, and you haven't provided details like habitat, spore color, etc, so making a proper ID is not possible.

Also, it is possible for someone to consume mushrooms and think they're tripping when in reality they're not, our minds are interesting and studying placebo and psychosomatic effects achieved from "sugar pills" can be rather illuminating.

Please make your own ID request, here's how.

In my experience they go absolutely nutty for pine chips. Eucalyptus seems to be something else that they like, judging by how often people find them around them. Honestly though, just keep scouring every woodchipped garden, one'll eventually find subs growing. Don't be afraid to lift up tussock grass and look underneath them either, they like the moist environment and people often don't do this, so they go unnoticed.

There are two Inocybe species here, the small three at the bottom look to be an Inocybe species that contains psilocybin, it doesn't look like the two species I know which contain psilocybin so I couldn't give a species name without doing some closer examination.
I wouldn't recommend consuming these as many Inocybe are toxic, on the other hand, I hear the active Inocybe contain no other toxins, either way, don't consume them.

I feel so awkward looking for them because there's people around. Are they big and noticeable? Or do you have to stop and look closely for them...

Dunedinite, in your signature, the middle picture, what species is that? It looks rather big and shiny - I've found something like that before. What does it look like?

It's the first sub I ever found. The cap has dried out a bunch, which is why it's a whitish colour instead of the typical caramel colour. Also the size, if I recall correctly, is about 3-4cm across

Here's some other photos of the same mushroom:
