I could cram just under .5 g in each, but not sure if I used the same size or not. I stored mine with paper bags of damprid and that got them super dry. Not sure if you can over dry them really. Mine are just as potent as they were a year ago, more or less.

I have a question, I haven't seen others talking about mushrooms growing in Northland. Do they grow in Northland? I'm 156 km away from Auckland city, here in Northland...

Tell me about it... Seems like this whole thread has slowed down over the past few days haha. This weekend we should get some tho!

I have a few growing at home from a patch I found earlier tho, so I can happily water them as much as I want. Yes... I lifted them out and took them home, but considering I checked it one day and it was swarming with pins and then I went back and the whole thing had been ripped up and even tiny pins taken, I feel I was justified in rescuing the few which escaped. I'll repay by seeding them everywhere <3 Most seem to be happily growing, so that's good! I'll keep the caps for tea, put the stems between some cardboard and get them going to plant out.

Left is when I first got them, right is 6 days later.

If anything you want to "over dry" they should come out looking like crackers.

Notice sometimes, especially in larger specimens, that the space in between the stipe and the cap can take a particularly long time to dry, even if the rest of the mushroom looks to be bone dry.
