You can eat those Amanita muscaria if you use the double boil method, discarding the water each time. Removes all activity, but has a pleasant nutty flavour.

There were several on the ground and up a bit of an angle Didn't want to stand on them or crush them Might be lucky enough to see them again and take a spore print

You can carry a walking stick or pick one up from the area and use it to either kneel on (wet pants) or walk on (footprints). It distributes your weight and a stick on the ground looks a million times better than boot prints.

Don't pick the pins! If you pick them before the caps open then they don't release their spores for more mushrooms to grow. Keep that batch pumping. But I understand the temptation to grab a little sample from a decent patch after waiting all year...
Also I've heard that to pick them you should pinch them close to the bottom of the stem without disturbing the roots which might grow more.

they sweep across the land, like the way the wind down across a field of long glass in ultra slow motion.
To get a sense of what I mean, watch the opening scene of Princess Mononoke, there is a moment where they have animated the wind rolling across an open plain. Now imagine that on a time scale an order of magnitude or two deeper.

Damn Nicethymes! You were raking it in last year and now it begins again... I know you like to make tea and freeze for storage. Do you still have froze tea from last year? How big is you freezer? I always wonder what you do with it all lol.
Wgtn looks to be cranking up nicely already. Last year the Akld haul photos were nuts. Chch still a bit dry but I've seen some small patches of pins around.
Hey have you tried microdosing bro? We've been trying it on and off this year with good results. Totally different point to taking a big dose: functional and practical for supporting your everyday mundane life rather than seeking the transcendent. Emotional positivity. Not that I've forsaken big doses at all, but microdosing is useful in a different way. I wasn't expecting much but was surprised by the positive results.
I've also given up on adding lemon. It makes the trip more intense but shorter the come down is real fast and I've realized that I like the come down stage. I can ask myself questions while still tripping but having become a bit more lucid. On the lemon trips somewhere in the 5th hour I could come down suddenly in the space of five minutes. Annoying. Now if I want to trip harder I'll just up the dose.
Come down and smoke some with me like the old days.
