Good question, I'd like to know the answer to this one as well. It seems like the chances would be slim, but any info would be appreciated. Holmz, you wanna PM me your loc?

In the state of New York..these are the mushrooms i would be looking for;
Amanita muscaria Amanita pantherina Conocybe cyanopus Gymnopilus liquirita Gymnopilus luteofolius Gymnopilus luteus Gymnopilus spectabilis Gymnopilus validipes Panaeolus castaneifolius Panaeolus fimicola Panaeolus subbalteatus Psilocybe retirugis Psilocybe caerulipes Psilocybe semilanceata Psilocybe silvatica
And also Morel mushrooms and the Meadow Mushroom and very likely many other fine Edible mushrooms in the state of New York.

Psilocybe semilanceata "Liberty Caps" are typically found in the fall, in pastures, fields, lawns or other grassy areas, especially rich grasslands grazed by sheep and cows. In clumps of sedge grass.
Panaeolus subbalteatus "Pan subbs" grows well in the spring, summers and early fall. Gregariously in dung or in well manured ground.
Amanita muscaria "Fly Agaric" grows roughly through the months of July-October, and during the winter in California. On the ground, under pine, spruce, and birch; also live oak and madrone in California, spruce at higher elevations. The range of this mushroom in the U.S. roughly is from the Rocky Mountains and Pacific Coast; rare in East, but reported in Maine, Connecticut, and New York.

With each containing one of the following: Cyanide... Psilocin... Would you take the risk? Didn't think so. This is why Positive Identification prior to consumption is important.
