yes, I realize that congress has forced SS to let them borrow money every year.  we've discussed it at length over the years.  You're correct that in practice it doesn't make much difference but in principle, it gives the "fiscal conservatives" a talking point they we don't need them to have.  They already try to pretend that SS is insolvent as it stands.

No it isn't. The Establishment loves to blame labor for labor's problems.

The conservatives blame high schools and colleges for not teaching the proper skills, they blame drug usage and many other factors for the inequality.

Liberals also blame the economic inequality in the access to education. If only everything were more equal in education then the US peasants would have more economic prosperity. It's all bullshit.

The reason why the bottom 80% has experienced declining real wages for the past 40 years is because of globalization and immigration!!  We have more educated citizens than ever before, that's NOT the issue.

Do you want to fix some of the inequality?  Reverse the tax cuts and give the same amount of tax reduction to the payroll taxes. That has NOTHING to do with the quality or access to public education.

There are some sources that support your idea that immigration caused wage decline. The majority of them say you're wrong. We all just flock to whatever "evidence" supports our preconceived notions.

Immigration not only dilutes wages, it's one of the key factors for creating the massive wealth inequality.

Why do you think The Elite are pro-immigration?  Trust me, they're not liberals that embrace  cultural diversity. It's always about THE MONEY!!!!

My Polish ancestors came to the US and instantly worked for 1/2 the wage of the existing natives, that's why they were invited in the first place.  This is such basic economic commonsense, it's been happening since humans have existed. Of course, The Elite are always going to deny it and have people like yourself buying into their propaganda.

And at first, I did not agree.

We butted heads on legal immigration, but you changed my mind. I no longer support legal immigration.

As for recruitment of scientists, I still think that could be beneficial. Top scientists...

My niece spent 150k on higher education with a masters degree in a high level science field. She now works in an industry that brings in legal immigrants to dilute her salary. Her current salary for her level of education and skill set is a disgrace. BTW, she works for the #1 company in her industry.

Trump really fucked up with his 'more legal immigration' nonsense, that's all I hear now. If US workers don't have the skills, 'we'll bring in people that do'.  :huxleyfacepalm:  It's all bullshit lies.

That's total bullshit, you do realize having more educated people dilutes the value of education?

How many highly educated labor markets with poor wages around the world does it take to prove to you it has almost no correlation?

Why do companies go into low educated third world nations for production if education was so important to them?  It's NOT about education, it's about the low wages.

Obama, deporter in chief, caging children, expanding ICE: THE DEMOCRATS WANT TO TURN US INTO A THIRD WORLD NATION OUT OF SPITE!

Trump ramps up all those anti immigrant institutions, constantly panders to his rabidly anti immigrant base with anti immigrant rhetoric: TRUMP IS SOFT ON IMMIGRANTS!

What should we do: Let’s rip up the constitution, have the military track down the 20M undocumented people and kill them.  Then let’s kill all the legal immigrants (because let’s be real it was never about the legality of it). Then we build a wall with a moat with drones attached that eviscerate anyone who approaches our border. And you’ll still be shitting yourself over migrant caravans in Guatemala deadset on ruining your way of life, or crying that brown people are why your niece doesn’t make more money.

I want the existing immigration laws to be enforced, nothing more or nothing less.

If people don't like the current laws, make an effort to change it. Until that happens, people are going to insist those laws are enforced.

We have enough people in are country. I also think its time to pull the plug. The first thing they need to do is stop having so many kids! I noticed that the people from Mexico and south America shit out like 6 kids. If your poor then why would you keep having children? Why should we pay for those kids? I live around a bunch of south Americans and a lot of them don't even speak English. When you wave or say hi they just give you a messed up look. One ran into my father's car and didn't have a license or anything so my dad got stuck with all the payments! People don't realize that we actually do have a problem. I don't trust trump at all but he's right about us having a problem with Mexico and south America.

You’re right. Hispanic kids not being your friend in your dad’s neighborhood is a nationwide epidemic.

Also, we’ve been through this before: US law wasn’t bestowed upon us by God from Mt Sinai. Immigration law especially changes constantly, and it’s only become more restrictive. Circumstances in society change, that’s why laws change. But I guess appealing to authority is your go to when you don’t have a moral justification.

“It’s the law of the land” I declare with a smug as I rape my slave and throw my Japanese American neighbors in camps.

No I don't. We already have more educated US citizens than ever before in the US, yet the top 1% have more wealth relative to the bottom 80% in over 80 years. So that proves your thesis is already incorrect.

Graduating more people from college isn't going to change that outcome, that's a very childish approach to the problem.

My grandparents with 6th grade levels of education made 100k per year in today's money. They had zero debt, homes, cars, investments and savings accounts. Tell me how many US citizens have that today?

So explain how a nation with better education could possibly have higher median wages than the US.

Could it be there are other factors at play in a global economy than a few knobs and dials to turn?

I get why you think it’s that simple: it’s reassuring to believe all we have to do is tweak a couple minor details and the world will turn out just fine. But then again you aren’t much concerned with the world so much as you are with just white majority countries. So there goes that. Even still, you have to know that there are real systemic issues in these white nations beyond “too many immigrants” or “not enough tariffs.” The entire socioeconomic system is a train wreck being held together by imperialism and militarism, and even then we’re falling into disarray. Economy collapses every few years, climate change destroying the ecosystem, even the stable governments are corrupt as hell.

It’s capitalism buddy. Not immigrants. The sooner you and people like you realize that the sooner we can start building a society that doesn’t require the demonization of half the world’s population.

No having illegal immigrants in the United states is a nationwide epidemic. I'm so tired of people like you. The reasons why so many people are turning away from the left is because half of you are insane. The feminism, black lives matter, anti gun, trans people always complaining, the left being over sensitive on Twitter and other platforms. We're getting tired of this shit. Can you people just shut up the fuck up and keep your stupid beliefs to yourself?  We're tired of apologizing and we're tired of your stupid beliefs. It shouldn't be are responsiblity to take care of these immigrants. If you guy's are so miserable then just f--g leave already. Fuck!!!!
