I was given some feedback. Maybe childish and rude, maybe for some weird reason even, IDK...

We just have some different opinions about some old case there... nothing that special.
But I have say he is always much ruder than I... he cannot take critique at all...

But into the subject, could smileys like the first one be avoided somehow?
On a public PC, it's a bit embarrassing if someone is behind you...

And no, I don't want to ignore the guy just because of some stupid old bs...

If you install ad-block to your browser, you can right click any image and block it individually. Since you're on a public PC I'm not sure that this would be allowed however. You could probably ask the system admins to allow ad-block though if it's a work thing or something.

The smileys are fine how some people may use them isn't. Lizard gotna ban for that post.
Maybe browsing a drug forum in public with someone over your shoulder is a bad idea in the first place. I understand its the edible section but c'mon now.

I haven't grown any drugs in my life - if tobacco isn't counted.

I don't think that this is just a drug forum at all. Lots of different sub forums...

And the gourmet section here has been one of the best there is.
Maybe now days there is better ones, but I have just used to it, I guess.

I like how we can hide certain peoples avatars and sigs, kinda annoying when the wife walks by and half the screen is filled with ass or something.

There's no option to just turn smileys off?

You can easily do this with your own content filters/blockers

Below the word “welcome” at the top left of the screen, click on Account.  Scroll down to edit Display Preferences.  Scroll down to find an option that says “show smileys”.  Toggle it off, and you won’t see shroomery graemlins any more.

Well, I have thought this. It's a second similar attack he has done against me.
If I remember correctly... Also there is three people ignoring him, why is that?

I could have posted some more or less useful info into that thread but lost all
my interest because this overreacting. My English is bad, and some posts can
be too short because of it. Maybe they aren't understood correctly, IDK.
But still, it doesn't explain this behavior... what would explain it, is
that they weren't totally honest in that thread at that time... so, I happened
to smell a rat, and was stupid enough of say it out loud -> me being the bad guy?

The guy has some great posts I'm sure, but co'moon that doesn't give him right
to behave this way. Personal attacks like that are usually forbidden on most forums...

Yes, 1234go, you are probably right. Sorry. I'm kind of perfectionist. Not necessarily perfect
myself but demanding it from others. Like the way most of us probably are... more or less... :grin:

Actually it seems that we both have the same syndrome, we maybe say things too shortly.
Like this last first message of mine at that thread. It can be misunderstood.
What I meant there that the thread has been grown too big to be very useful.
Maybe there is some good stuff in it, but nobody is going to read it all.
It's maybe okay, if one is watching that thread every other day or so...
