yeah I know...I've been trying to flood the shit outta the new wave of smileys so that they'd finally take my original advice of having a voting system put into play so that only the best of the bunch would get accepted - I'm guessing once a few more people start whining about it going way too far they might actually do just that

its too confusing now, they should at least put them in some type of order of emotion or something, like the violent ones, the happy ones, the animation ones, the trippy ones.

yeah, while we're getting rid of smileys, we should get rid of words, too. I'm sick of em. There's too many words.

First on the chopping block: all synonyms. From now on, there will be only one word for every concept. Then we can replace all adjectives and adverbs with some kind of universal prefix mod system. Also, i think we should eliminate any words and concepts that some may find offensive.

Blatant accusations based upon assumptions I see.  If you've paid attention to the stream of things around here you'd see that I've had no part in adding new smileys because other administrators have taken that upon themselves.  Also if the past has shown you anything of my character it's that I'm extremely discerning in which smileys I've chosen to add and those which I've denied.  I can't control another person's actions, nor should you blame me for them.

Then again, I don't care too much - so we have new smileys, big deal.. at least they don't flood the reply page (which was our primary concern). People could've linked them offsite anyway :razz:

This mighty smiley army snuck in under the door while I was on vacation. I don't mind the additional smileys on a pop-up window, but it is a bit out of hand. I'm on dial-up, and that pop-up window takes quite a while to load all those animated smileys, so it's not even really usable for me.

I think we'll need to trim the smiley list down a bit -- to be more functional and easier to use. :smile:
