I stopped about there. You see, sites like this one are about more than some kid and his shroom worship, though that certainly is a big part of it. You take away the other parts and you've erased about 90% of this sites worth as a good harm reducing part of the drug community.
Really, I hate listening to the whole, "mushrooms, sacred plant" BS, but I respect you fungus worshippers and try not to make fun of you. But, sometimes you are just wayyyyy out there, like now. Mushrooms are not more sacred than any of the other subs you mentioned. What is a natural sister substance to mushrooms anyway?/?/? Pot?
Just curious.

if the other forums dont interest you just dont post in them. i in fact have found them to be rather useful and that it flesh's out the community. it would suck to have to go to one or two other websites to access all the information that im gaining from one. also pot is just as sacred to me as the mushrooms are and i think they compliment each other well, these forums are here for discussing such things as this.

How are we as a community better off without this forum? The Powers That Be are likely to be far more concerned by a web-site that solely promotes the cultivation of prohibited mushrooms than by one where a good number of the plants mentioned are legal. I could argue that this forum sets an excellent example for "outsiders", as it demonstrate we are willing to go to the time and trouble of cultivating the plants that we love, rather than trotting off down the road to the local dealer -- with all the negative things that being involved in a violent black market entails. Do you honestly believe what you're saying? That people take psilocybin mushrooms with only the noblest of intents, while those who cultivate/consume the humble San Pedro are looking to get "tore up"? Where the fuck is your "compelling evidence" for this?
Your argument is thus: I like psilocybin mushrooms, even tho' they've evidently erased my sense of judgement, so anyone who feels similarly about a different substance is wrong. And rather than just keeping my spurious opinions to myself, I'm going to make a big song and dance about it here.
Who do you think you are?
I'm sure you don't need to be told that its exactly this sort of attitude that gives us heathens so much ammo against christianity. Bah...

I think you are missing his point. Enter has no problem with people who have a special fondness for drugs other than mushrooms. His point is that this is The Shroomery. Not the lycaeum, not erowid, not The Vast Database of Drug Knowledge. The Shroomery. As such, I don't believe its such a radical idea to narrow this site's focus to mushrooms.
Thats not to say I support the idea. If you look at my posting history, 1 in 60 of my posts might be related to mushrooms...

some of us are not mushroom worshippers, but psychonauts in search of a better understanding of our mind through the enhancements of psychedelics.
although there is a spiritual aspect to them, the spirit is in you, and in you only.
we all love this community, thats why we come and visit everyday to hang around and interact one way or another.
