New Forum: Medical aid and health

How about a special forum for health questions and suggestions?
Like the LD50 of the most common substances and signs for overdosing etc.

Or facts about heart rate, blood pressure, pupile function,...

Don't know if it looks as usefull as it looks to me.

if we do have a forum like this, which i also thnik would be a good idea......i should be a moderator for it, i promisee you i know more about health and fitness than any person on these boards and it is what i study in class.......i could also get my hands on alot of things others would not be able to through my university health department

Sounds okay, i am studying too, so i have access to a university library also.
And i'm having some close-related person around who are becoming or yet became docs 8)
We should get good stuff for this forum.
I'm really interested in any kind of medical data concerning human beings under the influence of
some substances. Like EEG's, EKG's etc. 8)
I hope this forum will show up some day and be sure i will visit and post as much time as possible.

I like the idea, but it would definetly need to be moderated well, cause this would be the type of forum where people posting all sorts of wild, bullshit OD rumors could be very dangerous.

could it possibly turn out worse than the "ethnobotanical garden" or "gourmet/edible mushrooms"??......i say those forums should be wiped to make room for a medicinal/health forum

BTW: Yes it should be moderated properly and yes there shouldn't be any "rumor post" on it.
For this forum i will ensure ( for myself ) that i am just at the mo trying to get as professional as
possible sources for posts.

with all the ignorant morons out there chugging bottles of robotussin on these boards i would say a little health and discussion ofharmful effects certain drugs can cause to your body would serve the community just as good, if not better than the other forums on here

I think it might provide "new people" with some interesting information.
They might ask around about some things he or she encountered to find if any other person before got these symptoms too.
( Excuse my bad english skills )
And i can only speak for myself: i would be real interested in such a forum, i want to know what happens to my body
in medical way when i'm doing some substances. Maybe it will be even possible that you might fight of some " bad trips"
related to increased heart rate and pulse symptoms which might be very confusing when you're tripping. but if you read before that some people encountered such effects before might remove some paranoia from your toxicated brain.

It should'nt be an aritcel about fucking up yourself in the safest way. But i'm really concerned about health facts, because i'm
involved in the red cross organisation and i'm an active member of it 8)

Come on guys ( and girls) , there are more people around here except AITF, psycho, bivalve and me.
I would be pleased to get some more replies to my suggestion.
At the moment i am gathering information about drug related deaths from a professional medical network.
That's no public stuff, this informations were gathered for medical use.
I will post them whatever happens to my suggestion, but i would appreciate some more replies or am i
the only one around here who cares about his body?

ganipgapoweeeeewweeeeeeeee....that was fun. Okay seriously though (why do I laugh everytime I try to get serious) but anyway...

Information like that should have it's own forum... if anybody has spent enough time in OTD they know it would not work at all in there, General Questions and Trip Tips maybe... but I don't think it would get due respect in there either. It's like when your having a good time with your friends and somebody brings up something serious... there is a good change it will get shot down so the fun can continue. Do I ever make sense? I wonder about me sometimes...

we should really get the "medical question and answer" up and running.......it could contain basic health questions as well as a "dark side of drugs/medical q&a" similiar to what bluelight offers....i dont mean a "d.a.r.e" type forum, but more of just sound advice(like if you are going cold turkey off benzos you should go the hospital because of the extreme risk of seizure) and ways to ease your withdrawels.......its not like this is an off the wall idea either, poppies.org and bluelight both offer forums similiar to these.............i feel pgf and i should be moderators of this forum as well, im very well-read on nutrition and health and pgf could provide a "been there, done that" twist on the advice..........what do you think thor/3d?
