Kamala's base is definitely north of fresno.  Most people in Southern Cal barely know her name despite her AG stint and the fact that she won her senate bid against loretta sanchez after boxer retired and handed over the seat.  Bernie will demolish her in Ca.  The south is gonna be a bitch, but maybe not such a hurdle as last time, especially if there are still a bunch of kamalas and bookers and betos around to split the not-bernie vote.  That's my take on it anyway.  I want to see a full field until super tuesday, then it can narrow.

Yeah, I first got super involved in the primary process in 2015 working with the Sanders campaign and my god is it a convoluted shitshow. And it yeah it definitely makes manipulation more opaque: for example Nevada was stolen from Bernie on some bullshit.

I think CA moving up was a big reason why the establishment was lining up behind Kamala (CA Senator) but her poll numbers have dropped and remain stagnant, so the idea of her winning California springboarding her into frontrunner status is tenuous.

On that topic... what the fuck Nevada? That was one of the most crudely un-democratic things I've ever seen

Needy reminder:

I -feel- like they've somewhat learned their lesson this time... Anyway. At this point, the field is so wide and varied I don't think any one candidate will be able to exude undue influence on the process thank goodness.

As far as Bernie is concerned, I’m not too worried about Beto as a threat.  For all his apparent charm and charisma, he’s got just as many stains on his record as Biden does, and things like abandoning the fossil fuel pledge and effectively getting his GOP friend elected over a Democrat in a tight race in Texas isn’t going to play well with democratic voters.

I've never seen Beto until Jimmy Dore posted a video of him

Beto's may be kinda cheese balls, but Julian Castro made my skin crawl a little bit with his first campaign ad, where he attempted to channel Obama and appeal to the little folk.

New nationwide Emerson Poll out today has Bernie tied with Biden, with Beto getting an announcement bump.

Joe will run.
Corporate donors already on notice....no way he could raise money on the internet like Sanders or Beto. Dems are looking into a party divided.

Beto can’t fill a fuckin coffee shop, his donor numbers are most certainly fabricated to give the illusion of grassroots support. Because he’s a moderate Republican who was only popular in 2018 because he was running against Ted Cruz.

Also, Biden team floating idea of announcing Stacey Abrams as his running mate. That way he can trot her out on stage to distract everyone from his god awful record with a popular black lady.
