Not sure if this is the correct forum but it involves dosing your trips differently

So my friend always has intense trips (more often “bad” than good) even on small doses of mushrooms (1 gram) that myself and others can take normal doses of without an intense experience.
I would estimate a 1 gram trip for him is equivalent to a 3 gram trip for me

He has also smoked cigs/vaped pretty much daily since he was 13.

Last week while working in my lab I came across a research paper which addresses lower than normal levels of MAOA and MAOB in chronic tobacco smokers. Smokers have 20-30% lower MAOA activity (and 30-40% lower MAOB)
Since MAOA is the primary enzyme that metabolizes serotonin (and psilocin)- I hypothesize that lower MAOA levels in my friend result in the More intense trips than should be expected and as such his dose should be 25% lower to obtain the same level.

Obviously everyone reacts differently to psilocybin, but I think MAO levels may play a role in the different responses.
I’m thinking I may get a group of 10-20 of my friends and give them all the same dose of 3.0 grams of mushrooms (blended into powder to get a uniform dose) and then seeing if those who have smoked tobacco for over a year have more intense trips.

What do you all think?

The only thing Tobacco does for me is synergize with the Harmalas in my Rue and i guess contributes to me talking in tongues, but doesn't seem to potentiate things much that i've noticed, Cannabis on the other hand definitely potentiates things. I also vape, vaping is by no means the same as Tobacco smoking and misses out on whatever else is in Tobacco that people get from it, including the brain MAO-B inhibiting Harmalas found in Tobacco, as far as i know brain MAO-A isn't inhibited much at all by Tobacco but MAO-B seems to be. So smoking Tobacco may do something, vaping on the other hand just seems Cholinergic to me.
