THis post is devoted to solely listing all the MAOI's you know of. I know of Prozac, turkey and harmala.

Uh, all chemicals have side effects. Harmaline included.
That being said, I agree that rue does seem to be easiest on the body and most appropriate for the potentiation of tryptamines.

I know harlamine does , but would you rather use trusty old harmaline , or some anti-d pill you found somewhere !
One thing is for sure , all you kiddies out there make SURE , IF you take a presription drug thats an mao=i, make sure its the real thing , and dont take ssris with psychedelics and if you take SSRI's with Mao-i's , you are fucked(in a bad way) , serotonin sydrome is what its called I belive

Uh.... rue is some pretty nasty stuff. Theres much better maoi's available. So far swim has found Moclobemide to be the first choice. It's a reversable inhibitor of MAO-A, its pharmaceutical, its cheap, and you dont have to be as careful about the foods you combine with it as you would rue. A google search will turn up an online pharmacy or 2 that will send you 100 tablets for roughly 60 bucks. Its sold under the name Manerix or Aurorix. Taking a tablet sure beats the hell out of the nastiness and sickness that comes with those damn rue seeds.

I'd much prefer to use a single tested pharaceutical, available in known dose, instead of a mixed selection of plant chemicals in unknown dosage. Moclebemide is a fairly easy to obtain short acting reversible MAO-A inhibitor.
