No WE are not.  WE ARE GOD.

But we must give up on our prayers (the thoughts and feelings we have) to receive.  We receive so much more by giving up on perception.  Giving up on wrong perception.

So holding on to drugs is a big deal.  Drugs are powerful prayers.  The brain holds onto beliefs.  It's real good to get ride of those.

So establishing a new country a new law is very difficult as long as people hold onto prayers.  Prayers are very dangerous beliefs.  Their a social disease of confusion.

Nobody that practices those prayers heals much of what they ask for cause they hold onto hope.

I think Jesus said in scripture that behavior many may consider depraved does not excluded someone from the kingdom of heaven.

"...when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day...
But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day."

Matthew 12

Yes but what does that mean to you?

Jesus could of been a killer.  He could of been a Roman.  Romans recruited people or they got the sword.  They sent spies east as well, and possibly west to America.  These things were known (round earth, atmosphere, night sky, land west).

Jesus was a sailor.  Maybe even a navy seal of sorts.  He just knew that love was a way to greater ways out of danger.  We might never know what the real story was.

Maybe he was nobody?

Why wouldn't it be ok?
Life's one big trip.

Also, the spiritual plane is beyond man made religion and should be viewed/reasoned with beyond the confines of it.

Because it's unknown territory.  It seems being able to be grounded and not up in the cosmos without feet on the ground is a big risk.

It created a lot social waves that are beating society apart.  It seems to not actually change reality.  But it CAN.

Dreams are a much safer trip.  Those dreams reveal a lot more sense.

Correct. The ramifications of a 'trip' are significant enough to proceed with caution regardless of religion or religious grounding. This is more of a personal assessment than it is a question about religion/religious consequence. (You) have to be grounded and ok with what kind of experience awaits you (good/bad). If you are resorting to consideration of a third party or religious framework, you're admitting to an aspect of yourself that isn't grounded. Again, (you) have to be grounded. You have to be ok with tripping.

Mankind has been doing that since the beginning of time under no influence. This is a given. Most of the cultural phenomenon and trends in music and society currently have nothing to do w/ this experience. It can be said that a lot of it is due to the opposite of it. A lot of people haven't had 'humbling' experience. They've played with the 'edge' but never have been thrusted over it. You can immediately tell a person who has or hasn't. One has no respect for things. The other is humbly reserved.

Reality is a fluid construct that is in the eye of the beholder. We constantly change it millions of times a day in relatively sober states. Indeed, dreams are 'safer trips' for some. Trips are to be respected, well navigated, and cautiously/mindfully pursued. (You) have to be ok with it... Asking if another party is 'ok' with it isn't a good (step).

OP - I can’t directly answer your question as I don’t view the idea of sin in the traditional sense. But, many years ago I was having some dialogue with a Christian friend of mine. He had lots of ideas about God, some of which made sense to me and some didn’t. I took a trip with the intention of trying to figure out whether there was a place for God in my life, and the mushrooms actually showed me my relationship and connection to God. So, I don’t think taking mushrooms is a sin, although for me personally there came a time where psychedelics became detrimental to my path and I stopped taking them. I definitely credit them with bringing me closer to the divine at a time when it was really needed though

I would add a word of caution though, that psychedelics have been known to have both positive and negative impacts on people’s lives, depending on set, setting, and dose. Only you can really decide if it’s the right thing for you or not at this present moment. I’m just saying, that the issue of sin isn’t necessarily an issue.

Proof is in the pudding; scripture says son of man supersedes all other rules.

Bunch of words in a book, probably don't mean much to ya.

Ideas of God are stupid drama of what is not that real.

To me God is a frightful thing.  My last few beers turned into a very bad and dirty religious experience.  Having that power is not a good thing.

Dying and merging with everything is not all that much fun.  It's crazy fun.  It's actually insanity.

Overcoming attachments doesn't appear so easily.  Attachments are a life line to this world.

I can imagine that no mind realm of a trip.  It's the parts that are not our mind that are so disturbing.  Watching TV and such.

Some people just cling to religion for they think it's proactive but it's really a destabilizing product of further destabilization.

God obviously has other mind games than religion.  To be everywhere like that is not a brain orgasm.

Do yourself a favor and cease identifying Ultimate Reality with 'a' Being. God is the "Ground of Being." If you are concerned with morality and ethics then consider what your intention is. Intentionality is the one invariant aspect we can identify about consciousness, and our consciousness has God as the Source of Consciousness. That said, if you take a psychedelic, instead of thinking of it as pharmakeia (sorcery), think of it as medicine (another meaning for the word). Hinduism, far older than Christianity has its "Moksha Medicine," and although it is not immediately evident, there are some hypotheses about the Christian use of psychedelics as well as Daniel Merkur's theses on ancient Hebrew uses by Jewish priesthood.

Whereas I do not identify the Iesous cultus with Amanita muscaria as John Allegro has, there is this archeological evidence for possible Christian sacramental use of A. muscaria after being consumed by snails and the snails in turn consumed. http://distelrath.tripod.com/fabbro.htm ; Regardless. Christian history has not been concluded. In the future, 20-21st century Gnostic Christians may be recognized from the uncovered archives of something called The Shroomery where future historians will discover Entheogenic Christian Gnostics having employed Psilocybe mushrooms in a sacramental capacity.

There is an Islamic decree that states that psychedelics for medicinal reasons are Halal, meaning in accordance with Allah's will.

I don't believe that there is anything inherently wrong or sinful about taking psychedelics, but be aware that they can do immense spiritual and psychological harm.

Tripping on what though?  There's a ton of drugs that 'trip' and people don't understand or know much about each substance or how they cause effects.

The most intense trips I've ever had are drug withdrawals.  So to say we are good with tripping seems to be a misuse of concept.  Death is a very hard trip and I've gotten a better look at that.  It's not an easy power not being in control.

It's beyond faith and reason.  Some of the chems are just too out there.  Not all is known about the brain so it's  a very risky adventure taking that leap of hope.

PCP and Paxil are probably some of the worst drugs I've encountered.  Not even together but just separate.  Then figure in drug combos and not all is realized of their effects.  Not many people read up a lot before taking a chem or even know what chem they take.  For instance the lotus flower and meth can be a deadly combo.
