Russia had 65,000 troops in Syria. How many did the “imperialist” Americans have?

Who cares?  The relevant question is how many Russian troops and how many US troops are in Syria without Syria's permission?

Your inability to see what's actually going on always surprises me.

I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them.  I also attack my side if I think they're wrong.  People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

What a load of crap. Jesus. Is this article translated from the original Russian?

Tell us which part is crap and we'll discuss that part further.  I love proving you wrong over and over again.

The article is bullshit Russian propaganda. Is the US policy in Syria right? Probably not, but we are not the bad guys. Assad is a genocidal monster who kills at will. Prisoners of war are tortured and executed. I really don’t get why someone who seems to be otherwise rational just has this huge blind spot about anything Russian. You are backing the wrong horse, bud. Assad and putin are pure evil.

It has nothing to do with having a blind spot for Russia.  I hate the constant make believe, and even if we are a better country than Russia or Syria I don't think that gives us the right to make believe anything we want about them.  You obviously have a different opinion, and that's your right.  But I'll call your fake news every time.

Let's discuss what part of my article you believe is crap so we can determine which side has the better supporting evidence.

The territory that the US “controls” is territory that Syria couldn’t control. It was controlled by ISIS.

The part that says the US supports ISIS. Absolute garbage.

They can't control the area that the US took over because the US is there.  And we're constantly struggling to remove ISIS from those areas.

ISIS has been driven out of the parts of Syria controlled by Assad, which is why so many Syrians are now returning to those parts.

What is the US still doing there?  Assad and the Russians have been much more effective at fighting ISIS.

I’m very impressed that Assad controls the parts he controls. It’s the parts he couldn’t control that are the problem.
