Magical Music * 1

Are there any songs or musical pieces that you have found particularly meaningful during a trip?

Looking for ideas to load into my playlist for future journeys.

The word "mandala" is from the classical Indian language of Sanskrit. Loosely translated to mean "circle," a mandala is far more than a simple shape. It represents wholeness, and can be seen as a model for the organizational structure of life itself - a cosmic diagram that reminds us of our relation to the infinite, the world that extends both beyond and within our bodies and minds. Describing both material and non-material realities, the mandala appears in all aspects of life: the celestial circles we call earth, sun, and moon, as well as conceptual circles of friends, family, and community.

In psychology, it is a symbol in a dream, representing the dreamer's search for completeness and self-unity.

Dont know why but there is something about the vibe of this song that put me in a really nice place when I was mid peak of an extraordinary trip of mine.

Its not my usual type of music but something about that sound...

Black Sabbath - Planet caravan. From the Iron Man album. Takes me to another dimension.

If I Were Your Woman by Gladys Knight was a song I heard on my first acid trip. Two good tabs, hitting a dab pen semi-unconsciously all throughout the peak.  Not only is the song just good, with lots of cool timbres, playing, and harmonies/backing vocals, it really felt like she was speaking to me during the song or singing about my experience right then. I actually don't even remember any of what I saw during this song, but it takes me right back into the acid mindset whenever I hear it- or at least my sober mind's recollection of it. It was the first time I really experienced a song influencing the trip in that it was focused on me, about me, creating strange visions I barely remember.

I also heard Magical Mystery Tour on two of those hits another time and it sounded like the sound was like sliding through the songs like a liquid, as though the album were unmistakeable going on and obeying time but the content of the songs were shifting and pouring into one another, just like water. One song would get 'sucked up' into the next as though through a straw.

Well hello again. I just responded to your last post.

I'm not sure what genre you're looking for but I though you may be interested in this playlist. Search google for "Mendel Kaelen playlist pdf."
I took the time to download it on my MUSI App and we really enjoy to trip to it every once in a while. You can find it all on Youtube; even the moments of silence. Don't leave those out!

Here's another: search for "This Is a Scientifically Determined Playlist for Tripping"

And another: "MDMA Assisted Psychotherapy Playlist." It's developed by the team at MAPS for MDMA Assisted Psychotherapy.

These aren't the usual Hendrix, Floyd, EDM, etc. kind of playlists. Those are good for partying. These are great for those who are seeking to journey into the mind more than just the entertainment experience.

People always seem to brush this off, but I swear by the album "wilder mind" by Mumford and sons. Everyone who actually listens to it during a mushroom experience is generally blown away. Last buddy of mine I "trip sat" for was awe struck. Brought him through the full range of emotions you deserve to go through on a psychedelic experience. He is a dead-set chillstep/female vocal electronic music listener for occasions and once I put the album on it was over. He listened to two songs and then requested his own music again. Literally no less than 15 seconds later he was borderline distraught struggling to request that I continue wilder mind without even knowing what it was. After that point it was the last time I really interacted with him until he resurfaced, as it should be. Anyways, it's a great album and really flows through the experience. It is raw emotion and human experience. If you're a spiritual person there are some incredible notes you can pick up on, and if not it is equally as profound.

Pig destroyer - Towering flesh

Just put it in your play list somewhere random, kinda like playing Russian roulette, adds excitement to the evening.

Don't actually do this, there's just too many trip music threads and everyone swears they have the best song but in actuality you will find your own songs that move you or have meaning anyway.

Bishlap is absolutely correct. Music is one of the most subjective experiences we have and e everybody is different. Most of my trips now I play alternative Christian music and my soul absolutely sings the whole time. Is that going to happen to everybody? Nah, probably not.

This sounds so cliche, but dark side of the moon by Pink Floyd, and surrealistic pillow by Jefferson airplane

Both are albums to be listened to in full

Both have brought tears to my eyes many times

I've listened to "Harmonic Rush & Binary Finary - Rise (Craig Connelly Remix)" on ASOT 714 while coming out of my first DMT breakthrough in 2015. Absolutely stunning.

This was sung during an Aya ceremony, with english words too - and absolutely stuck with me.

'We are one, in the infinite sun, forever forever forever...
We are in tune, with our sister the moon, forever forever forever...'

The guy who sang that, had his own music too - and it's really beautiful channeled stuff that hits the heart of the psychedelic experience imo.
