Blue man group
I also like to listen to the better classic rock bands, such as:
Rolling stones, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, The Band, Blue Oyster Cult, Steve Miller Band, etc.
Also, Bob Marley is good.
Anything uplifting and beautiful.

definitely Pink Floyd by far. love to listen to all there music when shrooming. also great music to play on guitar when shrooming, very challenging, but once you can play it is very fun. Floyd music for me helps shape amazing visuals during the experience. try watching wizard of oz and listening to darkside, it has to be synchronized though. i would recommend listening to darkside, wish you were here, and meddle. thanks

Yeah. Pink Floyd is definitely my fave while shrooming, but Tool is up there too.

Converting Vegetarians by Infected Mushroom is an awesome album. Its not like traditional I.M. but with actual beats/breaks. Dont get me wrong, psy trance is cool but those dance beats get boring (boom.boom.boom.boom..fcuk that). Check it out, also any Florida Breakbeat is sweet (dj Icey...Dj Baby anne)!!!!!

Agree with a lot of the picks so far, especially Floyd and Radiohead. But my absolute favourite music to trip to is a criminally underrated artist named Lewis Taylor .

His music is best described as psychedelic soul, but he brings in influences as diverse as Marvin Gaye, Yes, Beach Boys and Todd Rundgren. His self-titled debut on Island Records is my second favourite album in the world, right behind Dark Side Of The Moon.
He writes, produces, plays multiple instruments, sings and layers background vocals on his releases. With each new album he puts out, his guitar playing and voice improve, so it's always a toss-up of which is his better instrument. His best songwriting features twisting, labyrinthine melodies, dense wall of sound production that builds from a whisper to a scream, and enigmatic, personal lyrics that along with the melodies, evoke emotions effortlessly in the listener.

You can check out some of the b-sides and bonus tracks here:

Lewis III is like Beach Boys on acid, and usually the highlight of my trip
Waves more Beach Boys on acid
Trip So Heavy the name says it all
A Little Bit Tasty a whisper to a scream
Pie In Electric Sky/If I Lay Down With You and back again
I Dream The Better Dream nice, mellow
Asleep When You Come spooky sounding at the beginning, but builds nicely
You Got Me Thinking straight ahead funk
Cherry Blossom a gorgeous ballad, first dance at my wedding
Cover of Jimi's Electric Ladyland
Cover of Jeff Buckley's Everybody Here Wants You

His new CD, Lost just came out in the UK. It's a lot more rock-oriented, but it's still soulful! It made Uncut's best new albums of 2004 list, and is available from www.slowreality.com or at Fopp in the UK. If you consider yourself openminded musically, track down his self-titled debut, you absolutely won't regret it!

--------------------
"We dont deliberately try and make everything come out like that [space oriented]. It just works out that things happen that way. We all read science fiction and groove to '2001'; its all very good. But some of our things happen completely accidentally."
-David Gilmour, Pink Floyd

Another album with some good tripping music is the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds, especially the 2 instros, Let's Go Away For A While and Pet Sounds. They've both got crazy bass, the track Pet Sounds almost sounds like dub, and they've got that wonderful Brian Wilson wall of sound...
