My First Mushrooms

Hello Folks,
It took about a month and a half, but my mushrooms decided to finally show themselves on 420
I'm wondering, can anyone tell if these are Golden Teacher or B+? Is it possible to tell the difference? I grew both, but forgot which was which.
Also, are these little mushrooms ready to be picked once they get the brown hats? If so, can I just store them in the fridge while I wait for more to grow?
Thank you,
James

No way to tell the strain but it doesn't matter.
Harvest when the veil breaks. Those are tiny, why would you even think they're close to ready?

You dry them not store them in the fridge.

Hi again,
I just noticed that one of my cakes has a light hairy mould on the top. Is there anything I can do about that?

Okay cool, thanks.
How do you guys get the humidity to 100%? I can't get it above 80%.

I don't measure it but 50-70% is fine. 90-99% less than an inch off the surface happens automatically as moisture evaporates from the surface. Better to measure what your cakes are saying than a gauge

Hey guys,
Thanks for the suggestions. I got my chamber up to 90% with perlite.
One of my cakes grew about 14 grams (wet) so I picked them and did a dunk and roll and put them back and they grew these little pins, but they won't grow any bigger. They have been like that for a week so I dunked it in water again over night and they have grown a few more little pins, but nothing beyond that. It's like they are stunted. Any pro's know what's going on here?
Thanks again,
James

I believe they have aborted, from the looks of very dark caps.

If your chamber is truly 90% then that's way too high.. Leaving almost no room for evaporation, which is essential for good mushroom growth and pinning.

I dunno, they are looking pretty good to me in the chamber i use. I punched holes every 2" so there is plenty of airflow

Those look okay. Are those the same pins as the previous picture?

Then it's not at 90% if it's a proper sgfc. Don't trust shitty calibrated hygrometers. The paper towel test doesn't work. Use your eyes and mist when needed. Have you read the proper fruiting conditions thread?

This is another one. Misted cakes project: https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21595437
Here's one i kinda did for looking at surface conditions, tho I made it to discuss bruising. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/23461134
As bod said. If you did a proper sgfc it should be between 50-80% rh with constant fluctuations between it.
