Of course I was joking about XP. But the fact that a few people believed me should tell you something about microsoft's progression towards becoming Big Brother. You may still have some privacy, but its getting compromised a little more with each new OS from Mr. Gates.

I'll stay away from a full blown platform war here. I've seen them before and its just too boring to watch after a while. I'll just sit here with my cute, girly mac and you can sit there with your omnipotent, manly, biege....err,... box?

I suggest that you use Java, MySQL, and other free tools that work on multiple platforms.
With VB, access and similar shit, you just support Microsoft. Fuck corporations - use linux!

Sourceforge (http://sourceforge.net/) can host your project if you intend to publish it under OpenSource or GNU or similar license.
Since I was planning to do something similar we should join our forces to make a better thing. It would be a good idea to publish your database definition before you start coding, so other experienced cultivators can make suggestions about it.
