When you are preping your lawn for the pan subs with the manure do you introduce the spores to the manure or do you just hope the the right conditions are there for them to grow naturally?

mitchnast-i only have a certain are that would be moist enougf ,i got a pretty big sack for 5 bucks(canadian)i hav to spread it by hand but it shouldnt take more then 10 mins ,im in ontario, there supposed to be pretty common,
fliped-im just hoping for the best , ther supposed to appear on freshly manured lawns , so if i build it i hope theyll come. the right conditions would happen just about every year its just subtrate,i also have a huge pile of straw bails within walking distance im talkin like 6 feet high hopefully it would have rotted or decomposed or whatever the subbs like ,

i purchased 2 dumptruck loads full, took me and a few other guys a few days to spread it, mix it, seed it, and make it all nice.

you know? I was wondering the same thing. I was going to look for the right conditions for this mushroom to grow, and ask permission from the farmer to collect manure for my garden, while searching for the mushroom. Maybe they'll pop up from the manure I collect. I usually just get a bunch of coprinus mushrooms though. When do you think it would be too late to spread the manure?
