Gun clicking noise in movies.
    #2438536 - 03/16/04 08:36 AM (20 years, 16 days ago)

Isnt it funny how in a movie everytime a person points a gun at somebody or somthing, or even picks it up it makes a clicking noise. And if they have a pump shotgun they click that motherfucker as many times as possible to make a point to their statement. Since they have usually already been shooting the thing that would just be wasting shells. And usually no shells fly out anyway.

:P

What always gets to me is that almost every time someone is on the phone in a movie or on tv, when the person on the other end of the line hangs up, there is always a dial tone immediately. Any phone I've used just goes silent when they hang up.

remember the dukes of hazard?
if i remember correctly it was an automatic with the sounds of a gear shift and it always screeched on dirt roads.
i hate in movies when the person on the other end of the phone hangs up and the person keeps saying "hello, hello"

The only reason why police still use pump shotguns is because the noise scares criminals. If you are hiding and you hear a few of those cocks you would feel better about giving up.

Heh yeah.. shotguns have a limited usefulness as a nonlethal weapon -- they use them to shoot beanbags and rubber shot.. and a pump's a lot easier to unload one shell and load another type quickly than an autoloader.. but mainly, the SHINK-SHINK! really chills you to the bone. I've never been on the recieving end of a shink-shink but uh, on the giving end, and that noise scared the crap out of ME.. and fortunately the other guy had already run off

I hate when you watch a movie and realize that all the sound was made by someone else. They get carried away sometimes.

Well, as long as we're talking about sounds in movies, did you know all speech is re-recorded in a studio?

I think even the 'quiet' scenes too.
Weird huh.

i hate when you see a car go off a cliff and it instantly blows up... i was watching some really cheezy movie the other day and this guy's car went off the cliff and landed on the roof, and instatly flames shot out of the windows. it was pretty lame
