When to inventigate with an independenece.  Maybe there is not a smigden of evidence.  Use the Obama words.

Lois Lehren and claimed the 5th, when govem immuity.  So that prosecutors until say say it that trapped by get you for contempt, and trapped that get you into trouble. 

Say something untrue, or you get charged from bull-whip prosecutors why say anything?

Im not expectinf Yates to testify that she saw Putin handing Trump a manilla folder in a dark alley somewhere.

You think the GOP is sprinting towards the destruction of its first supermajority in over a decade? Maybe its nothing, or maybe theyre trying to drag this out past the midterms. Unfortunately, yes.  Mainly the Hillary supporters.  When the DNC got caught cheating, she cried "Russia!" and her supporters swallowed that hook, line, and sinker.  It's hard to let go when you believed in something for so long (although the opposite should really be happening by now).

My point about the GOP is that theyd be stonewalling the investigation in case something does crop up. If they prolong it and theres nothing, they win. If they prolong it and there is something, voters will be invariably fatigued by the whole ordeal and they win. Might as well let the Dems continue this Russia talking about instead of the 100 (perhaps more) legitimate things they can hit you over.

I see your point about the DNC being stupid and petty. I unfortunately agree.


Smoke would be various members of Trump's inner circle lying under oath about Russian meetings. The meetings themselves. All of Flynn's shit. Same with Manafort. The intel reports on Russia conspiring to help get Trump elected. The intel reports on the possibility of a "Trump dossier" with Putin/FSB. The existence of Rex Tillerson as SoS. The possibility of Trump owing major debt to Russian banks that could be easily written off if he released his tax returns (which he wont). Theres a lot of other circumstantial shit but those are the main things imo.

I agree the lying was bad and it cost Manafort and Flynn their jobs under Trump.  But as Dennis Kucinich said "McCarthyism does not sound better spoken out of the left side of the system’s mouth than it did out of the right side.  The Democrats are losing valuable time trying to blame the 2016 election results on Moscow."  People almost felt obligated to lie because of the witch hunt that was going on.  Again, I'm not defending the lying, but I understand it.  There is still ZERO evidence that the Trump team colluded with Russia to help him win.

Manafort did consulting work for a Russian aluminum company.  Flynn gave a paid speech at an RT dinner event in Moscow, and got in trouble for not disclosing that.  Is there anything that points to election collusion?

I'll grant you that could be considered "smoke", but in all cases above this is "maybe something is going on, and maybe it's not!"

Sally Yates is schedule to testify Monday, 8 May.  I'm guessing one of two things will happen:

1.  She doesn't have ANY evidence of Russia meddling in the US election.  Only evidence that people close to Trump conducted some sort of normal business with Russia.

2.  She wont even be asked to testify (for whatever reason), because that allows the myth to continue a little longer.
