what do you think? forget the bias, this is just a discussion...about this particular story, relating to the question "Does Islam promote violence?", what do you think?

Uhh yeah. I think the Muslims who aren't extremists aren't really Muslim.

I mean I was just told a few days ago by a Muslim dude on WorldStar that if he had the chance, he'd rape and kill my family right before he started quoting the Quran and praising Allah and condemning the western world.

that person is just either trolling or insane. and potentially Muslim, but no, i think you're wrong in saying that they aren't "truly Muslim". this is the no true scotsman fallacy.

there are extreme interpretations (and literal and so and so on), my point being, that there are extremists whom are fundamentally insane to follow the tenants purveyed in the books, the "scriptures", in the way that they do...then there are people who follow some tenants, and not others, and they provide philosophical and pedagogical insights to drive new interpretations.

some have been insane throughout history, and some have been plain and upstanding.

unless you want a fascism, you can't just make people abstain from following whatever legal viewpoint they want to follow, and then make laws against individuals, or even encourage that kind of behavior.

there isn't a war being perpetrated by Muslims, on Americans. it's American's starting a war, on their own turf, against their OWN AMERICAN CITIZENS, because of their religious beliefs.

yeah, i dunno, that's a very pertinent question. i mean, he must have had some kind of cue, even if he just went there to make a big rant...why did he chose that particular moment, i just don't know.

but i must say, they drill into him in the video, because i mean, he is rather threatening and i do believe they were at a meeting of Muslim engineers, as is mentioned in the video, so they were probably discussing some kind of expansion or planning of some kind.

OP your video doesn't work.

American media and politics have been running with this rhetoric against Islam since 9/11. The term 'Muslim': itself have been radicalized since the 50's. What makes it so ironic is the history of Christians, Catholics, and Jews in America and these groups don't have any contention within the American public.

Honestly I expect that most people are ignorant of Islam in its spiritual context, the Qu'ran is rich with knowledge and shares the same story as the Bible and the Tur'ah/Ta'nakh.
