function to cut posts from posters with low shrooms?

I know of some comment systems that allow you to block all post under a certain rating. Maybe something like it would increase the viewing pleasure of the forums for some. It might also force people to be kinder to eachother.

Um, what about new users? How would they ever get enough good rates to be visible if no one can see their posts to know they are there in the first place?

And I don't think that someone's right to post and be seen should be determined by what other people think about them.. I don't like the idea of "forcing" somebody to meet someone else's standards of what being "kind" is, either. :grin:

The new users could rate themselves like I suggest in another post here.
This idea isn't forcing anyone not to be seen. It just gives people the OPTION to filer the one or two shrooms people. And the cut out windows shoud be minimized with an option in the thread to read them..

I think Slashdot also has something like this feature.

btw Psychedelics also sound like a strange idea to the majority of the population...

That would work. But it's not as easy as what I'm suggesting. Just think it would be a nice extra feature. Seem to be the only one :grin: though

Yeah so the mods and users should do some puppet patrol. Let the server give you red flags if the same IP has multiple accounts. Dunno about all the possbilities. But I don't think puppet-basterds should be able te ruin a handy feature. A test feature in one forum maybe?

HAHAHAHA thats great I can see it too!

I must add my opposition to the "don't show users with low ratings" idea. even if it was easy to set up, I still think it would be unfair to certain users.
