It is similar in comparison to a dedicated stoner at a dispensary, exited to buy top shelf bud for the first time. You never forget moments like that. Harvesting the product of your hard work and time for the very first time is such a unique experience. :mushroom2:

Dude, it was fucking fantastic.  And I had never tripped before.  So the anticipation was pretty goddamn crazy.

All the research I had done.  All the work and the questions and trips to motherfuckin WalMart, trying to change the subject when some old lady employee asked me what I'm growing with my bag of verm and perlite... all of it paid off!

By the way, Don't watch Hellraiser on mushrooms.  I danced with the damn devil that night.

To this day I still don't like harvesting the fruits of my labor lol, I wake up every morning make a coffee and go to my grow area just to look at em, I also give em a visit before I go to bed lol

my first harvest i was as giddy as can be, on the one hand i was anxious to try them but at the same time i just loved looking at them, so much time and energy went into making that first grow a success, and so much heart wrenching failure occurred in the learning process that i would spend hours at a time just staring into my monotub once it had pinned, like the same feeling you get when your a kid and you have one of those extremely collectable action figures still in the box, and you know you shouldn't take it out and play with it so you just sit there staring at it, all the while getting giddy and restless and just laughing from excitement. and then when i did pick them each and everyone i had to individually hold in my hand to feel its weight, and hold it up to the light and view it from every angle, before i was satisfied with it, then i would move onto the next one, it was like Christmas morning, you want to open the presents, but they look so damned beautiful wrapped up under the tree. you just wanna savor that moment.

What was the strain & how was the trip? I've wondered what a trip would look like if you bit your dosage straight off the cake instead of picking & drying. idk if i could do that tho lol to me shrooms are alive if their still attached to the sub perhaps biting it and chewing it up straight off the sub would have a effect on the trip idk

picking your mushrooms for the first time is like delivering your first child. The connection you have with them is strong, afterall, your actions brought them into this life. Your seeing the fruits of your labor, and that's fucking amazing.
