Homegrown vs. Picked Shrooms

Good news for me. Shrooms just hit town. I have never shroomed but I'm going to try it and I had a question regarding taste. One kid told me these shrooms are really good and since they are homegrown they don't taste that bad. I have eaten a cap that a friend gave me and It tasted like shit. I your personal opinions, do home grown shrooms taste worse or better then picked shrooms.

Don't think there's any psilocybin that tastes too pleasant. I don't think where you grow them makes any difference.

Try mixing it in yoghurt.

i heard that home growns are more potent because u control their enviroments, just like u can grow better weed indoors by controling their enviroment.

You'd probably get a better response to this if you posted it to one of the mushroom specific forums.

I dont know if theres much difference in quality between wild and homegrown shrooms, but I'd rather have the homegrown since that would almost eliminate the risk of getting the wrong kind of mushroom.

yeah, i think where u grow and how they've been grown might have an effect on taste, but i dont know, i personally like the taste of dried shrooms

And BTW, psilo. mushrooms are liable to taste nasty no matter how they're grown.

That is completely and utterly false!

Out door mushrooms are MORE potent..... and their taste is way more bitter than home grown.......

In vitro grown P. cubesis are three to five times more potent than outdoor naturally occuring shrooms. Beug and Bigwood, (1982) and Bigwood and Beug (1981) published several papers on the variation of potency between indoor and outdoor varieties of P. cubensis.

AS for outdoor shrooms, P. cyanescens is the most potent of shrooms, sometimes capable of producing from 6 to 10 doses in a dried gram of pinners.

wait a sec now...if im not mistaken...which i may be....azurescens are the most potent variety known so far...

edit: wow...this was a way old thread lol...sry for bringin it back up...i accidently ended up on this thread...and replied without checkin dates...
