Ignorant Salvia Haters!

I love salvia. I love the way my mind works on it. I love the was the world looks on it. I love the things i have realized from my experiences on salvia. Why do so many people hate salvia? Now please, I realize that some people don't like the way salvia makes them feel, and I don't automatically disrespect this feeling, however, lately, I have asked my close friends why they don't like salvia, and I usually get the same old "it makes me feel depressed" answer. I don't do drugs to get a simple high or happy feeling, or a euphoric body buzz (however these are excellent side affects!). I prefer enlightenment and exploring the world, my world, through a different perspective. I am starting to feel that I am a minority in these feelings, and that a lot of the people I like to trip and so on with, just seem to do drugs to escape from the world, and to just not give a shit when they're stoned or tripping. Is this how most of you feel? Why don't you guys like salvia in the least? (Please remember I am not calling you stupid if you dont like salvia)

I think a lot of people don't get the insight/enlightenment experince out of it. Perhaps some people are just looking to get "high" off of it, but it's hard to expect other people to get the samething you get.

I for one, love salvia as well. It's a great place to go when I need to refocus myself on what I need to do in life. Very helpful.

Most people don't like it, IMO, because they (a) don't break through or (b) they do and it is to much for them to handle. At least those are the reasons given by people that I know personally who have tried it and not liked it. I love the salvia experience. It takes me to a place inside my psyche that is really hard to reach. It has even allowed me to see people that are past away just as clear as if they were really in the room with me.

One more reason alot of people don't like salvia is because it is not a drug that lends itself to group endevors. Or, rather it's not a party drug.

I don't like salvia, I don't know if I'm ignorant or if it just doesn't suit me, but I've broken through twice and haven't enjoyed either experience.  As opposed to seeing the underlying connectedness of things, salvia convinces me that everything is bullshit, and nothing is connected, that all connections are just a hallucination, and that I'll never get back to the connected world, because I finally know the truth, and I'm just going to float in this disconnected void forever.  I don't like that  :frown:

1) all experiences are subjective. what is awesome to one person
can be hellish to another. i dont enjoy the effects of salvia so much
as going 'out there' and delving into the salvia experience.

2) salvia can be an enormous mindfuck that many (myself included)
find very difficult to deal with. experiencing "yourself" as an inanimate
object, having inanimate objects/plants talk to you, forgetting what
"you" are (egoloss) is not in the normal spectrum of 'drug' experiences.

3) some people don't react to salvia at all, be it through incorrect
smoking technique, poor product, or some other reason. a friend
of mine claims he gets absolutely no effect from salvia no matter
how he smokes it.

I've broke through on salvia many many times. The experience is just so unenjoyable and un-useful. you are pretty much confined to the floor becasuse you cant stop yourself from falling over. I suppose some could try to get "enlightenment" from this. But in my eyes to get insights from a drug you have to be able to have clear vivid thoughts and connect topics(ie mescaline, shrooms,ayahuasca,2c-t-7.....etc.), salvia just clouds your mind and makes you just forget everything. Thats just me, i cant say everyone will hate it, but i certainly do.

I'm afraid of salvia. No matter what the dose it's to imposing for me. Always get the same pulling sensation and i don't like it.

I would agree with unenjoyable/difficult, but I wouldn't say it is useless.

The floor is a safe place to be, though I am usually on a waterbed.  I wouldn't want to risk a regular bed, 'cause the forcefield always rolls me around and I would probably fall right off.

I don't see how.  Salvia takes control of the self, but does not turn off the self (does that make sense?).  I can see this opening peoples mind to possibilities, but I have never been merged with "" while on salvia.

I'm a big fan of Salvia, I've found that sometimes you just take a bit too much and it's pure confusion. But if you get lucky and get it just right it's beautiful.

Every single trip I take I don't always try to gain enlightenment and a new outlook on life, every once in a while I just like to lay back and see what these drugs can show me.

i respect salvia more than anything else out there.
people, animals, nothing can do more to you than she can.
when i break through i lose every point of refence to existance and re-evaluate everything. i'm usually very confused during the experience, but afterwards i have all the time i need to analyze them.

i can understand people who do not like the experience, but i think it really helps show you who and what you are.
she has taught me so much.
