Excellent - youve made my day! I can send you spore prints from various areas (ill have to try and obtain a local one as for some reason i didnt keep that) and try and get some plates going of each so that you have live material to work with (i assume this would be much easier than from dried year-old specimens??
Thanks again. Let me know what you'd like

I received a reply from Mark Merlin after sending him the complete thread. he said it was too long and he was too busy to read it all to give a response. So I am going to send it to Dr. George Wong, the head mycologist at the university of hawaii for a response.
