Copelandia cyanescens
    #2398980 - 03/03/04 04:46 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

I was out hunting for shrooms near my home yesterday, and I found only about 5 "cubies", but I also found 40-50 smaller shrooms that blued immediately after me touching them. I think they are Copelandia cyanescens. Are these the fabled "blue meanies" that grow here in Southwest Florida? Does anyone have a recommendation for dosage?

well I don't know how experienced you are with them. but they are pretty potent. if you are a begginner then i would suggest trying out 2 dry grams. then you can adjust from there to your likings. get a spore print and look it up to make sure its actually the mushroom you thought you got. have fun

Thanks Evan,

I did take a spore print and it was JET BLACK. I also took prints from my cubies, and as always, a BEAUTIFUL purple. I am a very experienced tripper, but have had no interaction with this species.

Thanks for the input.

More like one dried gram if someone has never eaten them before. That would be equal to an 1/8th of a dried ounce.

Clinical tests with human subject showed that one dried gram was the same as one dried =gram of liberty caps in a therapeutic setting.

That would be 7 to ten mushrooms of the COpes for a good high.

Yeah they can be pretty potent.

Something weird about the copelandia mushrooms i tell you.
-They bend my mind more and more everytime i consume them... it's like a never-ending trip with them, meaning, your trip starts back up from where you left off each time you eat the copelandia, and the doors finally open up and then you realize you're one too many copelandia shrooms over the rainbow (but only during the trip-sessions).

They were real comfy to trip from the first hundred times, then the gates of the copelandia open and there is no turning back.

Keep shroomin,

mmyeah, i try to stay clear of copelandia mushrooms now,
I prefer Psilocybes, or Panaeolus even..

Copelandia's perplex the heck out of me, , they make my nose cold also.
--I just can't help but collect them and then eat them though:shiftyeyes:
--It's all fun and games until gg is on the copelandia shrooms again.

Ask mjshroomer about the time i ate the half ounce dried and friends took me to ybor city and i was at the bar watching transvestite whitney houston impersonators doing a kereokee contest  :shake: I'll never step foot into ybor city again after that.
-But i got those friends back after i came home from atlanta with fresh P-weilii's. Tore. Them. Up.
--Teach them for taking me to ybor that night.

ybor city is an early 20th century Cuban community in Tampa. Sort of bohemian in culture (music, artists, etc.)
