New e-cigarette called VitaCig contains vitamins A, B, C, E, CoQ10

Was browsing through Facebook posts and saw a post by Bam Margera using one.
Apparently these things contain vitamins. I always wondered if it was possible to ingest vitamins that way. Is this the end of multivitamins? Will we one day ingest our food this way and no longer need to eat? lol

Nope. Although that's part of it. The joy and social aspects of eating good food.
There are actual health effects from chewing food. The actual act of chewing.

Not to mention they say it contains "everything you need to survive, nothing more and nothing less". But we don't know EVERYTHING about human health and diet, it could happen years down the line people come down with some crazy cancer or disease because it was missing some vital nutrient that we didn't know about, that people normally get through food.

Not to mention, in the first place... supplements are NO substitution for actual nutrition from food

Agreed.

The same way a vitamin C pill or a 1000 mg packet of "Emergen-C" can't compare to eating an orange or some other fruit with high levels of Vitamin C. I think mangos have high C.

No it's not the same thing.

Almost all vitamin C supplements contain only ascorbic acid, when vitamin C is actually a broad spectrum of chemicals.

Yes there is a difference. All vitamins have been shown to have lower bio-availability when compared to their whole food sources. Many vitamins also requires secondary vitamins to be present for proper absorption.

A good example being calcium and vitamin D.

This is well documented, and a quick google search will provide you with all the information you want on the topic.

That isnt to say that supplements are "bad", but they are not the same quality as whole food sources.

Yeah but you can't beat an advil, a packet of emergen-C and a beer to cure a camping hangover. Well, at least until breakfast is made.
