I don't think I've ever read so much misinformation in a single news story about drugs...ever. It's so utterly shit I can't help but laugh.
Unfortunately in the end that's the kind of reporting that gets laws changed.. once the moral minority with nothing better to do in their sad lives get on their soap boxes :mad2:

LEGAL LSD DRUG IS SOLD TO KIDS FOR JUST ?8.50

A DEADLY new mind-blowing drug more powerful than LSD is being sold to schoolchildren as young as 14 for just ?8.50 in High Street shops, The People can reveal.

Salvia Divinorum - used by WITCH DOCTORS in magic rituals - can cause terrifying hallucinations, paranoia, a loss of co-ordination and make users believe they can FLY.

Even though it is legal, experts fear the herb could drive young and mentally-unstable people crazy - or even KILL them.

And today The People is urging Home Secretary David Blunkett to ban it before there is a tragedy.

In a shocking investigation which will horrify parents, we sent a 14-year-old schoolgirl into new-age shop Zen at Moseley, Birmingham.

Despite knowing her age - and the brightly-coloured cardboard package clearly stating "Not suitable for anyone under 18" - the assistant happily sold her Salvia for ?8.50.

He shockingly even gave her advice on how to take it and the best way to get 'high'.

Salvia, also known as Magic Mexican Mint or sometimes just SD, is smoked in a joint, pipe or "bong" - large water-cooled pipes used by crack users.

Just a few puffs can cause mind-blowing effects lasting up to three hours.

Expert Dr Tim Kendall, from Sheffield University, told us: "Taking Salvia is playing with fire."

Last night shop boss Lizzie Goodman said the assistant had been sacked. She added:"I am shocked. It is against company policy to sell to under-18s."

funny i never used mine to smoke crack. Maybe we should outlaw gasoline next, then glue, then aerosols. But let's keep popping pills to make us happy, energetic, thin, calm, horny, more social, less loud etc. so the pharmaceutical companies can keep raking in the dough.

and illegalize everything so kids will do robitussin and coricidin and dramamine over and over.

ive talked to dozens of people (14-16) that wont do mushrooms but do coricidin and dramamine all the time.

This reporter has just discovered a new drug used by CRAZY DOT HEADS being sold to ten year olds in shops all over jolly old england. This "herb" contains a powerful chemical that once it enters the bloodstream makes havoc of the central nervous system causing the whole body to tremble and the pulse to race at a DEADLY rate.

This drug is boiled in a "kettle" similar to ones used by the crazy dot heads to cook kitten soup which they then feed to small british children and then after they are through tell them that they just ate cute little kittens and laugh their maniacal dot head laugh while the children cry their little eyes out.

yeah I find it funny. all those that want certain durgs illegal always say that they change the way you are, they make you act silly or dumb (of course never the positive effects). Then we got psychologists prescribing pills because people get a little nervous at a party. Fuck I just saw an add on tv for a drug to make women want more sex. Hey some people dont want to fuck all the time- that's ok. And some people are more reserved and it takes a while for them to open up. And some people have a little trouble staying calm or being energetic. Since when is pumping your body full of synthetic chemicals an answer?

And those anti-truth commercials are the worst, they get me so frustrated.

I expect there's people wanting to try salvia now who'd never even heard of it before reading that. I seem to remember the same thing happening when a paper ran a story about the horrors of a shop selling fresh shrooms.. their sales increased significantly with the publicity :tongue:

I think I know what the most popular substance is that kids can buy for ?8.50, which causes a loss of co-ordination, makes users believe they can FLY (as well as believing they're extremely attractive to the opposite sex and a black belt in Kung Fu), can certainy kill and cause mental problems and has effects lasting for hours.. VODKA! :wink:
