Well, sure. Say LSD makes you tense, you might have muscle soreness. Say LSD keeps you awake, you might be exhausted. Say LSD brings you into confrontation with difficult memories or existing behavioral dysfunctions, you might feel kind of fucking crazy as you reflect on your trip during the comedown. You would feel the same way if you went through the same experiences without having taken LSD.

None of this implies that the temporary presence of LSD in blood serum causes a characteristic pattern of persisting neurochemical alteration.  I have seen no direct evidence for this, and I'd be delighted by any meaningful contradiction you can bring to bear.

Not persisting, but temporarily would not be a stretch, and that alteration definitely seems to linger a couple of days after the acid has been filtered from the blood.

If you have a swing and give it a solid push, it keeps swinging a bit after you've stopped touching it. I view it as similar to this.

That would represent a more holistic perspective of the brain's activity than is demanded by the OP's question. :whatever:

I only just noticed that you tried to lump the aftereffects of MDMA, a stimulant and releasing agent for dopamine and serotonin, with mushrooms and LSD, mere modulators of serotonin pathways. Very nice.

It really depends on how you interpret OP's question. You seem to interpret it in a narrower sense than I did, it seems. It also seems that you respond in a way if my reply was a personal attack on you of some sorts. Very nice as well. I call it a day; I've had my say on this and I don't feel the need to argue with you about how your interpretation of a question would be inherently better than mine.

Seriously though, you will never be fully the same, thats the whole point of taking a journey. Unpleasant effects usually fade fast though, days or a few weeks usually.

I will often feel a bit off the next day especially if tripping at night disrupted my sleep cycle. Usually a good 24 hours and I'm back to good as new though.

There are some substances that are sold as LSD that are not though, and some of those can have a lingering effect of at least 2 or 3 days of feeling kinda fucked up.

there is clearly some brain chemistry things that are different from person to person.  Back when i did acid, most psychedelics i'd feel normal after the usual amount of time (2c-i as an exception).  With acid i wouldn't feel normal for months, and i don't think i ever stayed up less than 24 hours (and sometimes much longer) after taking acid, thats how wired and jangled it would get me.

mushrooms i felt totally normal after 6 hours.  I've been told alot of the people have it opposite where they feel totally normal after acid but mushrooms jangles their jimmies.

I dont have any mental illness and no one in my family has,about the psychosis i dont actually think lsd cause it since i have taken it from years ago and i never felt symptoms of psychosis i think this is just if you have already a mental illness thats why is important to know your mental health before try acid.
Do any one knows how many mushrooms are equivalent more or less to one tab of lsd? because where i live acid is expensive and i think i will change it for shrooms. cheers. :wink:
