Yes, hijabs, niqabs and burqas are what they are.

But how much better is the indoctrination western women get? The short skirts, brands, piercing/tattoos/make up/hair/plastic surgery, etc. Like my grandmother said yesterday "most girls in your age look the same" I followed up with "yes and they all think the same (...)". I guess you could say muslims are forced which makes it a bit worse than being somewhat brainwashed. However, they both play on fears in their own way IMO.

Would you rather want your girlfriend to walk in short skirts or be a walking textile shop out in public?

Important to add that there are women dressing nicely and stylish these days seeing as we're in a flow of middle path. Also, I take precaution if the weather is too good but there is a limit even then IMO, depending on the circumastance obviously.

Look the way you want but expect to get analysed in this ever growing plastic society.

In a way western girls are forced as much as the muslims in that if they chose to walk around in a hijab they would suffer social fallout as would a muslim in Iraq or whereever walking around like the girl in your pic. They wouldn't get their heads chopped off over here though.

I prefer the west's take on it. But are the girls any more free? Are the guys? In one way or another we are all forced by society to fit a certain mold with a certain leeway for variation in order to fit in.

You're definitely on to something. I just want to note that in most muslim countries the women are forced by law/religion to wear hijab or dress to cover their skin in some public places. In Iran particularly, women from both East and West are obliged to wear hijab in all public places. In the West you're not forced to wear/not wear anything specific unless being professional - please correct me if I am wrong here, men and women are rather brainwashed. France with their "anti-hijab law" is an exception that I know of. Wearing a ski mask while doing your errands in the bank might cause some issues.

we can't legislate taste!
our battle in the west is against indoctrination by advertising,
propaganda by so called news networks,
and economic plagues at the whim of bankers.

this may be preferable to enforced bronze age censorship and modesty and, and outright feudal domination.

the current propaganda has us demonizing a series of imaginary arab feudal threats so that we do not concentrate on the ecomonic destructuring of our freedoms, and to help underscore this
pretty women everywhere are encouraged to dress so as to disable any remaining clear thinkers.

Maybe I misunderstood your post and that "looking the way one want" does not go in hand with "plastic society". I doubt it though, therefore:

Not looking the way one want to is not a choice based on choices.

I want people to trip on LSD, that does not mean I don't analyse trippers.

I just finished watching a documentary on Luton, apparently the most extremist town in the UK.  It's a major Islamic centre, home to some extreme Islamic groups, and also the home of the English Defence League (EDL).  What was really apparent is that both groups have valid points to make (never thought I'd say that about the EDL), but both groups are so "passionate" about their views they don't actually ever listen to what the other side has to say.

I think it's sad that ladies all over the world let other people tell them how to think and what to wear.  Doesn't matter whether it's religious indoctrination or cultural indoctrination.
