We can trade mold cultures! I got some nice orange plastic looking mold too.  Just out of curiosity.... think I could still move the healthy mycelium out?

No, not outta those.
You may be able to after 3-5 transfers have a clean culture, but IMO, it's not worth it.

That's a really old mold culture.
I've got some amazing bacteria cultures if you'd like to trade those.

You might need to rehydrate those mold spores for sure :lmafo:

That's 2 weeks from the time I made my plate to that photo.  If I put it in my sgfc will the humidity from that and my cakes rehydrate them enough?

A cool shot of one of the wedges getting stuck on the glass and the mycellium growing downward to the grains.

Wish I had a before pic for this one. Had a fruitbody growing of a ms plate. Decieded to clone it. Two days later and it has actually grown up, the veil formed, broke, and the cap opened! If it drops spores I guess I might not get the clone I was hoping for

Obviously a plate should not look this way.  The concentric grow of the trich was interesting though.  When it started showing growth rings I couldn't throw it away.  So here it is after three or so weeks.

Is that plate about 1 month old?
I wonder if the rings are light/dark cycles.

I didn't date it.  Close to a month, maybe a little more.  Interesting none the less.  I have never seen mold progress that way before.  Then again I don't think I have kept a plate that showed any green that long.

She is in the trash now.
