How will the light penetrate my plastic GH cover

Well moisture + electricity = :death:

So just pul the light as close as possible without affecting the internal temperature of the GH.

I have my GH in my closet , i was just gonna replace the closet light with a 6500k CFL its about 3 feet away

you might wanna get the light closer than that....i suggest u get one of these...

You want the light as close as possible with affecting theinternal temp of the GH.

There's all types of different ways to provide light for a greenhouse. I use 6500k daylight florescent tubes and long fixtures hung vertically on a homemade stand. I scoot the stand as close or as far away as I want. I get plenty of light in all tiers doing it like that. Space is not an issue for me, but if it were I'd do something like what was shown above.

I actually have a few of these from my snakes that are lying around ill use.

My greenhouse is in my closet and I just put a 6500k bulb in the light fixture and it works just fine. Look at hippie chicks "I luv my greenhouse" thread. She just uses a regular bulb in her regular light fixture and she has as good or better yields than anything I've seen

People worry way too much about light.
If it's 6500k and strong enough to light the area you're growing in, you're fine.
Light is important but it's not as important as everyone here makes it out to be.
I've been growing with two 6500k CFLs (power is 75w equivalent) in my ceiling fixture and have never had a problem.
I have had some pretty spectacular flushes too.
3 ft away from your GH won't hurt a thing.
