a large clear piece of a plastic bag will work if you spray the outside of the chamber with h20 for a seal

are you can do this...flat 1/4 inch thick board or 4 wood strips connected with screws take some plastic film, 9you can get a roll at any hardware/paint store) take thumb nail tacs to fasten the plastic to the wood. when you place it on the terrarium it hangs down a little creating a tight seal. hee are the dimentions to fit a 10 gallon tank... 24" X 14 1/2" outside dimensions 21 1/4" X 12" inside dimensions (dimensions variable) the out side dimensions are not as important as the inside. if you have the inside it will hang with a couple of inches to spare. all the way around. the wieght of the wood pulls the plastic thus creating an air tight seal.

The plexiglass fit snugly inside the track for the lid. I used a drawer handle to pull it on and off. I didnt seal it at all with silicone. I dont even have enough room to make a frame with polyurethane film to fit around the top...tried that.

Just cut a piece of cardboard to size. I like to line mine with plastic. It's cheaply and easly replaced at a moments notice. And it works like a charm!

Or use glass of the same dimensions as your plexiglass lid. Then just glue a marble or someting to the top with silicone to use as a handle. Hardware stores will often cut glass for you to dimensions you specify.
