Any Anarcho-Communists/Platformists here? Libertarian Socialists?
    #16757012 -

Hey guys, I come from /pol/, the political shithole of the internet, and I recently left because all of my fellow anarchists did and the whole place is just stormfront people. I was wondering if there were any other anarchists on this board who would like to discuss things in the future as I am always looking for more anarchists to discuss politics with. I think that this board is a lot more intelligent than the last one I frequented and am looking forward to talking to you guys in the future.

I might be able to stretch my belief to 'anarchy light'.  I'd rather just call it libertarian though.

They are only opposites if you insist on taking each to its extreme end.  When somebody labels their ideology with seemingly opposing concepts it usually means they are picking and choosing from each.  There is a wiki on each of those, check them out to see what they are about.

Actually anarcho-communsim is a very libertarian ideology, the most infact, all communism is is a stateless, classless, moneyless, and leaderless society, Marxist retards just seem to think that you need a goverment to achieve that, while anarchists think that people just voluntarily join communes and occupy factories on there own and communism is already in place, like in Spain in 36. Libertarian was originally a word describing anarcho-communists first used in an ancom publication since the word anarchist was banned in france at the time. Socialism simply implies that which creates assumes the product, Government Socialists seem to think that the government creates. Libertarian think that no one should control what one produces, most believe it is the workers that produce.

No point in using different definitions than the mainstream.  Communism is not necessarily defined as stateless.  Not in any modern sense.  It doesn't really matter if some fringe group thinks otherwise or if its original roots mean otherwise.

communism and socialism are impossible without a violent authorative state.

how are you supposed to have public ownership of anything without a state? you cannot.

if you are just talking about spontanious volentsry communal gathering and sharing. that is called just plain anarcism.

communism is public ownership of everything.

anarchism is private ownership of everything.

the two are practically complete opposites.

you have somehow been confused to what these terms mean.

an anarcho communist is a walking contradiction.

you might be thinking of anarcho capitalism?

As has been mentioned, look up the origin of the term before trying to assert that your subjective definition is necessarily correct while the person(s) who coined the term is necessarily incorrect.

Socialist or communist arrangements are "impossible" w/o a "violent authoritarian state"? That is simply too foolish to take seriously; you had to have meant something else. Now, if you had said that about offensive wars...

You can't have member/worker ownership of an enterprise w/o the state? Countless examples of various cooperatives exist. As it relates to worker cooperatives specifically, Mondragon Corporation (based in Basque region of Spain) has annual revenue upwards of $20 billion.

I agree.  We are all adults here, we dont need to play silly games.  Asking a rhetorical question like 'What is money' is a long and boring way to discuss anything.

Mr. Al, you should get to the point and say what you mean.  Dont play silly games, we dont need your Socratic method.  It makes you look foolish and bores your readers.  Better just to define what you think money is what you think it isnt instead of trying to 'trap' somebody with a rhetorical or socratic question.

BULLSHIT.

I know what money is.  You tell me what you think it is and I will reply.

You are frightened to even make an attempt at defining what the word money is.

If you can not define what money is how can you even attempt an economic discussion.

It is not a spam post, if you can not define what money is you have no business talking about economics.

I am not playing games.

What is your definition of money?

If you don't know what something so integral to economics is then everything you say is irrelevant to a discussion about economics, reason being the basic premises involved are off immediately, so your conclusions are erroneous before the discussion begins.
