I guess God (as the 'Highest Spiritual source' common to all religions) can't trust us to be on an equal basis, untill we learn how to get along without killing each other.

Some of us will probably never learn.

I had another idea...
The single characteristic that differentiates humans from the animal kingdom is our ability to argue with ideas...we can coerce each other thru ideas, whereas an animal coerces thru brute force, thru violence; therefore a reliance on brute force as a means of coersion almost guarantees the future as an animal. having lost the privaledge of being human, or being at an advanced level of evolution.

I think the whole point of 'life, the universe, and everything', is to become suitable companions to God, equals without existing in fear of each other.
