The longer you take that shit and remain dependent the more you will suffer for the rest of your life.

It takes a few months to reverse the effects of being on the drugs for a long time.  It's the best feeling in the world.

I know this because I kicked a hardcore opiate addiction cold turkey.  I had the philosophy that if I quit the shit cold turkey, with no help I wouldn't go back to opiates because I would remember the pain.

I was right, and have developed much more as a result.

Although going cold turkey potentially dangerous, depending on the severity of your dependency.

Yeah, any time my cousin would go without, she would get bad episodes of insomnia and nausea (she's on alprazolam). I don't like benzos and don't use them recreationally. Except for clonazepam, I like them some and use them once every blue moon.

She's cutting down though, so I applaud her for that. I just don't want to see her suffer metaphoric (and perhaps literal) atrophy because of a crutch.

Opiates you can go cold turkey on.


Benzos, don't do it.

But you can ween yourself off in a matter of 7-10 days

I don't.love or hate them.  I don't like using them recreationally because I don't really see them being that fun.  Why would I want to take a bunch of Benzos, fall asleep, and wake up confusered because I don't remember how I got there?

I only take Benzos when I absolutely need them.  And I might take just one benzo, small dose too, every six months.

You put some opiates in front of me just wave byebye.
