I do believe that being diseased is when the body

I think you might have a romantic view of the term diseased,
as in 'diseased vermin are in the sewers!'

like, to be diseased means you are carrying bacteria and viri in your filth?

disease is much more, and much less complex than that.

It also is a verb and a noun, which might be hindering our understanding here
as well, what do you think?

Guys, whether or not addiction is a disease is not the issue. It is viewed and treated by modern day society as a disease, whether you like it or not, this is a fact. Go check yourself in to a detox center and see what they tell you. You cannot fight this. It is a fact. I did not decide it, society did.

I understand that this is an emotional subject, but you need to keep the discussion on the topic and leave the people you're debating with out of it. Personal attacks are against the rules and you've been here long enough to know that.

If you can't debate the topic without insulting people, then it may be best that you just stay out of the thread completely.
