I experienced this to and i found out that they were mabey getting to much water and that the shit in the water was turning them brownish. So mabey this will help

It could be verticillium but since your shrooms appear to be fine I doubt that it is. Variance in shrooms from multispore innoculations are common and I think that is what you are dealing with. I have seen shrooms that all came from the same syringe have very different appearance and shape from variance in colour to size.

My PF's usually get brown streaks after the first flush as well. At first I was affraid it was contam so I let my neighbor have some "free shrooms." He lived, so they're ok to eat. As for the streaks themselves it seems to occur when you set the cakes directly on the perlite.

yep, in my research the streaks are a result of over humidification. are those shrooms also fat asses?

no, there not contams, just thicker strands of fiber is the shrooms, crack one open and you will see. there fine

actually, the brown streaks are caused by bacteria which live in excess moisture.
in other words, you're getting them too wet.

Yes they are fatasses, the little shrooms!
I tried to lower the humidity a bit and EUREKA!!! the new pins are almost completely white. The problem might have been that I had gotten into the habit of blasting the shrooms with foggy air fromm a ultra son. humidifier after fanning (just to get the humidity right back up). I think my babies was trying to tell me that that was not the way things happened back in the Amazones.
