Talked to some Ga people and they hit some luck in some old spots.  They say that they aren't coming up in clusters yet, only singles.  The grass ones are starting to pop so the forest ones should be coming soon.  Is there a possibility that there could be Caerulescens growing in the grass and Weilii in the forests?  Grass ones are not as wavy as the forest dwellers and usually have a lighter cap.  The forest ones are stronger too.

So we just had  HEAVY rain up here north of ATL (alpharetta) for last two days... You guys think after a day and a half - two days of the sun coming out now will be a good time to look?

Or did it rain too hard?

You're right around where I am. I'm gonna do a quick scan later on today and I'll be going back out periodically throughout the week

I haven't hunted mushroooms since I was a young, dumb teen in the cow fields. :tongue2:  I just got this PC from a friend and this ginormous thread was in the browser history.

If these weilii are as special as you guys say, I might just have to go out and have a look myself a little later.  I don't think I want to take anything but finding them would be fun. :awesome:

Should be lots of different types of mushies out with this weather, right?  Maybe I just picked up a new hobby!

Found some today, sorry didn't get any pictures. There were a decent amount out there but most were pins. I'd say Thursday will be the best day for some true hunting.... GL to all, the season is finally officially beginning.

I remember a year ago when it rained enough to flood streets and homes across my area here in Cobb. School canceled too... no problem finding weiliis after that hard rain.

Alright. I know it's still a little early, but I just went out on a quick search and this is all I could find... Is this a baby Weilii??? I think it might be. There's a little dark nipple on top too. What do you guys think?

looking for psilocybin containing mushrooms is like looking for gold. Even when you know it isn't, you feel compelled to get a second opinion.

Lol it was that way when we first started this hobby. I love the weilii. Haven't found any yet here in gwinnett, but I really want to go hunt Cherokee and Woodstock.

Checked on my best grass patch today but alas, no weilii.

Anyone else check around today? I may have just gone too late. Usually I'm out at sunrise.

I found a small hand full but i didn't look too long its gonna take some time due to it being so dry for so long before the rain. A few days and it should be good. There out though, all of the ones i found today were in spots they haven't been all year.

Did a quick runthrough of my spots and they were barren. Next few days should prove to be nice though.
