That's why I like "Tao" No creator just creation itself.

I vaguely knew what the Tao was until I read a little more about it, and that's what I've had in mind when I say God. Is Tao all of existence? or is it some source that existence originates from? Though it seems like if it's the trees and the mountains that could lead to idolatry of the Tao

"While the Tao cannot be expressed, Taoism holds that it can be known"

I think the idea of God as a grey bearded man may be one of the most spiritually stifling beliefs one can have.

Totally incorrect as far as I known.

It goes something like. "The tao that can be known is not the eternal Tao"

Although I don't think it can be known, perhaps I'm just getting caught on the semantics. I believe the Tao can be lived when the knower dissolves into the Tao.

You cannot help but live the Tao no matter what your condition or perception. You are Tao. Your manifestation and experience is called little tao. It can be known within the boundaries of the self. The Ultimate Tao however cannot be fathomed ever by anyone.

Agreed, but what I'm talking about it not a fathoming, but a being.

Right but as I said everyone is being. Everyone feels being in their own way. In the Tao it's all the same. For ones personal experience of little tao of course some ways may be preferred.

IMO, the little tao, ego, is not being.

Little tao is more than just ego. It's everything we can know and experience as animals.

The ego is the interpreter of experience.

I cant help but disagree with this statement....

I think the commentator and analyzer is the ego.
The experiencer is the self/awareness.

Being in the Now, means loosing the commentator, and just letting the self experience the tao through unfiltered perception.

Meaning....the true unfiltered "experiencer", cannot possibly be the ego.

Trying to interpret the experience, of course, thats the ego, which can NEVER, EVER express in words/ideas what the self experienced during those moments of complete absorption into pure awareness.

I agree with you. I was trying to put the experiencer (ego) in the context of the little Tao... errr I'm getting too drunk to express my ideas coherently.
