Well? Why would an all powerful, all knowing, all loving being need his ego massaged by his fallible creations?

HE DOESN'T

what he wants is you to choose to be yourself in all your glory...

that's why we have free will.... (i think we have free will...well i hope we do)

what he wants is you to be you...and that is all.

LIVE AND LET LIVE!

G-D is the ONLY Reality that 'ought' to be worshipped. Anything and everything else is idolatrous worship of the objects of human desire, howsoever subtle. G-D alone is worthy, which does not mean our anthropomorphic projection of ourselves, but the Divine Source of Existence Itself - both good and evil. Instead of looking at G-D as a projection of humanity into a SuperBeing, it would be more efficacious to view humans as microcosmic versions of the Macrocosmic Infinite. We are made 'in the image and likeness' of G-D, not the other way around. It is the other way around that makes G-D look like a meglomaniacal ego.

well the christ self is the perfect ego, i just don't call it an ego.

There may not be any such thing as a perfect ego. But there may be some who come close.

i don't agree, or i use a different terminology. ego is the false sense of identity that arises from the illusion that we are seperated from reality. ego is always trying to derail youre efforts and tell you youre not good enough. the ego is what must go. i call the thing that pushes you onward and makes everyone special the higher self or christ self and this is what replaces the ego.

That ego inspires art. To do away with it what is the point of emotion? The yearn for beauty, the lust for a women, the drive to make a peace of beautiful art.......

the ego is not necessary for art. are you saying people like jesus or budda who mastered their egos were incapable of creating art? without an ego, God's art flows through you.

I understand that of gods art. But i find depictions of Idols to be somewhat boreing for me. I prefer to make art threw my expieriences with other people. Weather apreciating the beauty of a women or writing about a tale of my travles. God is in there. But so are all the other people on this earth doing what they do.

umm what are you talking about? i never said it would only be depictions of idols. by "God's" art i meant art created without sense of doership. it could be a depiction of anything.
