From what I have read part of me says- yes probably... part of me says probably not :shrug:

If I could legally administer DMT to people you could be damn sure I'd try it at least once. I'd say he probably tried it. I mean how could you not after hearing the incredible experiences people have

It seems like in college he may have been into LSD and such- but he had a hard time accepting the alien/elf/entity/gnome encounters and did not expect such frequency.

He is a doctor who tried conducting professional experiments on it. For him to state
he used it personally would nullify a good portion of that project. That being said
his favorite artist is shpongle.... I have little doubt he has not experimented with it.

@ZenClarity, ya I doubt he'd come out and say he's tried DMT. He probably has though.

And on a further note.. he and alex gray are going to be at the shpongle dj set on may
first in austin... and im sure other dj sets as well.  I can't wait. :wink: Already got tix!

Haha I think OPs question is answered now. No way he'd be at Shpongle, with Alex Grey, and never have tried psychedelics. That's probably the whole reason he is at Shpongle w/ Alex Grey

after I read his book "DMT The Spirit Molecule," I was exchanging emails with him for awhile.  He said his psychedelic use when he was younger sparked his interest in Buddhism.  But he never has said ANYWHERE that he himself has tried DMT.  He has I'm sure, he just would never admit it because he's afraid of being the first to be made example of for DMT use.

Pretty sure he's experienced.  Also certain he would never, ever say so over concerns it would taint the validity of his academic works.

My money says late in life, when his work is taken over by others, he'll set the record straight.

FWIW, Alex Gray and Shpongle are my favorites visual and musical artists...but have you folks checked out Larry Carlson???  He is over the top!!!  I downloaded his album Contact the Star People (totally free mp3) from his web site at http://www.larrycarlson.com/mp3.htm and it makes me trip without drugs!  SERIOUSLY!!!
